Núi Cấm / Cấm Sơn / Forbidden Mountain - An Giang Province, Vietnam [4K]
The mountain is located in An Hảo commune, Tịnh Biên District, An Giang Province. With an altitude of 705 metres it is the highest peak in the Mekong Delta region.
Cam Mountain is home to scenic spots and landscapes such as: Chùa Vạn Linh (Van Linh Pagoda - Leaf Pagoda), originally built in 1927.
The temple was destroyed during the Vietnam-France and Vietnam-USA wars and rebuilt over the next few decades.
The statue of Buddha Maitreya is 33.6 metres high.
Hồ Thủy Liêm (Thuy Liem Lake) it's man-made lake built from 2005 to 2008.
Chùa Phật Lớn (Big Buddha Temple), was built in 1912.
The statue of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara is 26.5 metres high.
Hồ Thanh Long (Thanh Long lake / dam), was built from 2011-2014.
