I noticed a gap of after the nose was winched into place. I was curious how they would make up the gap. Then at 5:00 the fabricator is heating the ribs and cooling at the sametime. Is this to close the gap as there are clamps already welded in place??

I think that's why that guy trying to heat and make the plate to stretch a bit to reduce the gap and weld it.

You heat the plate on the outside shell so the shell will rise and lower closing the gap to the frame or rip.
