Yes! The song was written in 1982, one of the best known Chinese art songs, lyrics by Xiaoguang Chen and composed by Jianfen Gu, it is a song about homesickness and here is the text: I miss the little river of my hometown, And the water mills creaking near it, Oh, mother! If you see a wave smiling at you, that would be me... that would be me, that would be me. I miss the smoke from kitchen chimneys of my hometown, and the wagons hurrying for fair. Oh, mother! If you hear the sound of a flute, that would be me... that would be me, that would be me. I miss the dim lights of the fishing boats of my hometown, and the beautiful seashells on the beach. Oh, mother! If you see a sailboat coming, that would be me... that would be me, that would be me, that would be me!... I miss the moon of my hometown, and the reflection of the mountain in the water, Oh, mother! If you hear a song from far away, that would be me... that would be me, that would be me.
