It’s always a pleasure to listen to Chatulatha Mani.her depth and breadth is mind blowing. To the topic of film music not being adapted to Carnatic music concerts these days but they were in the past- could it be that olden days film music was still based on Gods and divinity so lyrics were such. But singing romance maybe the issue now??

The artist here is blowing her own trumpet too much without even slightest humility one would expect anyone to have .WE grant you your acccomplishmnents but dont blow it out of proportion for God `sake. Moreover her singing of film songs is terribly carrying a carnatic style which should be avoided .A film song is a different cup of coffee , even when it is based on carnatic ragam. Leran this difference from KJ Yesudas , P Suseela and many other play back singers. The points made by ypu here are nothing unique --many others have talked about it more eloquently .
