@9mankaido37 күн бұрын
@ , sure. However as shitty as it is, it’s a game of optics. If Ukraine fired the first shots at the Russians massing on their borders “for a training exercise”, do you think the west would have been as open to supporting them? There’s a good chance it’d of been spun as “Ukraine attacked Russia with the rest of the world watching.” We also know damn well Russia would have claimed “it was a training exercise and we had no intentions of attacking. Now we are just defending ourselves.” If South Korea attacks the North, it’ll be viewed the same way. They’ll be seen as the party that violated the ceasefire agreement and now North Korea is on the defence against an aggressor. You and others may view it was a preemptive strike, others will not. It’d be like siblings in the back of a car. Ones looking out the window and says “I’m going to punch you” so the second sibling hits them first. Sure the first one riled the second one up, but they never actually hit them. Who’s the parents going to give shit to?

It would actually be insane if we see some special operations type stuff go down inside north Korea. Russia is one thing, as Ukrainians and russians look similar ethnically, speak similar or they know the same language, it's easy for them to blend in naturally. Idk how anyone would blend into north Korea. You would have to be Korean and know the lifestyle of the North which is nearly impossible given how afraid the public is, they would tell on anyone sketchy or non normal. It would be crazy if south korea, to get back at the north helping Russia to get stuff to fight south korea, they came forward to Ukraine and let them use their operators they have in place in North Korea.

Ummm, looking at the numbers for a future Korean War, NK has 1.3 million active duty and 600k reserve verses SK with 500k active duty with 3 million reserve troops. A 3 to 1 ratio means that NK would still need to mobilize more troops and position 1.5 million troops at the boarder. I think South Korea might notice something is up and start mobilizing along with putting troops in position to defend. Then we still have troop training quality and equipment differences to consider here as assaults happen. It would be a blood bath on both sides, but the assaulting NK troops would be decimated. Then the counter attack would be even worse for them.
