Idk if u know this already or not but everytime Kuea sings it's his real voice(Nunew), the song in the last scene is him too, he sings some of the OST for this series.. The last scene breaks Lian so much, it makes him realize that Kuea REALLY loves him. Like what Kuea said before that Lian respect him that's why they never kissed? It's true, actually Lian respect him and kind of holding back bcs their age difference and he thinks he needs to be suitable for him first.. but in that scene with Kuea's begging for love it breaks Lian and make him like out of his mind and just wants to reasure or let Kuea knows that he loves him too that's why he kissed him even tho he's been holding back this whole time and Kuea's drunk too at the time.. I'm really glad you are continuing this series. I would like to just say one thing: A few of the reactors dislike some parts of the show because they think it's moving too slow. But I would just like to remind you that this show happens within a pretty short amount of time. There aren't any huge time jump, so everything does happen gradually. For example, the entire episode 1 and 2 happened within the span of 2 days; The ending of episode 6, all of episode 7 and the beginning of episode 8 are all just one day. So at times, if it feels like it's moving a bit slow, thats because the show itself is moving slow. But overall, this show's production, the acting and the messages are amazing. I can't believe this is Nunew's (actor of Kuea) fir ever acting role. The friendship between Kuea and Diao isn't something we see very often in BLs, they also talk about consent, boundaries etc. It's also very comedic in a non- cringy way (something else that's rare in BLs)

Zee is good at fan service , he did the same with P'Saint too .Watch there videos from fans u- tube channels , u will see nothing is different from what he is doing now with New . That's why it's safe for not shipping actors , there doing there work, getting more projects and being able to be Brand ambassadors.

I have been a BL fan since 2017 , am not a new comer , I have seen the worse from all sides , Actors, fans and the industry. I just feel sorry for fans who take fan service as genuine but if ur mad and made u sad , it's okay for u to believe in any thing . I respect your opinion, we are in a free world . Me , I saw a lot of toxicity, from Mew Art , Captain White, Ohm Toey ,Perth Saint and many other ships .

As you may know Zee and New have stated on numerous occasions that they love each other and will stay together. They don’t do fan service. I think something that is often glossed over is that Lian has been hiding much of his personality from Kuea, as much as Kuea is pretending for Lian. We see a bit of it in this episode, where Lian was given a caretaker role for Kuea after Kuea's grandfather passed, and they had been separated for a time while Kuea was studying in the UK. Due to the age difference, at that time, Kuea was just finishing their HS education / going into College, while Lian was already working and building a successful company, and the date nights that were established during the conversation with Kuea's parents felt more like a formal obligation, rather than something affectionate. Lian put up boundaries initially to give space to Kuea to mature and ensure he didn't overstep, but along the way I think he forgot to open himself up to allow Kuea to know who is outside that caretaker role. Lian presents himself in the flashbacks, as well as through his interactions with Kuea prior to the last scene at Gemini as someone rigid, stoic and unfeeling. Kuea fed off this and created a persona for himself that would match the version of Lian he knew.

He just love him alot actually, may be the realization hits more whn Kuea said all those things in the car and tht song. Plus him coming out made Lian clear. He must be unsure because Kuea was hiding n pretending so he thought may be Kuea don't really love but just feel close to him since childhood. He just wanted a assurance

Thanks for your reaction, I really enjoyed watching CutiePie with you guys again. In the novel, Lian was “mean” to Kuea in the beginning cause he knew about Kueas secrets (rides motorcycles and being a singer/drummer), while Kuea hides that part of himself to Lian and shows a fake personality while they are together, Lian was not certain if Kuea’s love to him was actually love. In the car scene, it’s the first time Lian get to know what Kuea really feels about him and from there Lian starts to change his attitude towards Kuea.

Most crazy thing is most of the song is sang by the actors themself that make it more special .. u can check out there stage performence .. their pairing was on point after 6th ep u will just watch all in one row .. their chemistry was on point all pairs are great .. Also, Kuea comes from a very rich and honorable family as you saw and he is engaged to a very successful rich man, therefore he thinks he has to be a 'good kid' that is worthy of the title. I think many people forget this is an Asian drama and as someone who grew up in Asia as a kind of rich man's daughter, I can tell you right now that there is a lot of pressure. Even simple things like riding a bike or being a drummer and majoring in something that is a bit out there results in a lot of people talking and looking down on your family. It's a very annoying stigma in Asia.
