【能楽公演】「能を知る会横浜公演－紅葉狩」2023年8月9日

This is the Noh play MOMIJI GARI (Maple Viewing), by Kojiro. The warrior Taira no Koremochi, hunting in the mountains, meets a noblewoman and her attendants banqueting under maple trees. They entertain him with dancing and wine. He falls asleep then wakes to find the woman transformed into a demon, her true shape. Having been woken in time by the local god of war, he defeats the demon with a sword the god gives him. A short kyogen (comic play) precedes the Noh.

どうしても拍手をしたいなら地謡、囃子方を含めて全員が引っ込んで、舞台に誰もいなくなってから、というんですが、それもなんだかおかしなものでねえ。
