I wish I could've seen or ridden a train behind N&W #611 in 1992!

Thank you so much for another trip down memory lane! Sure miss the sound of her old Hancock three-chime...

11:15 That's the old diner west of Mann's Corners on US 20. It's built around an old T&W electric car. Been closed a long time now.

I remember when that took place. Wanted to go down and catch it , but had to many irons in the fire so to speak! Thanks for sharing. A lot of other nice catches in there as well!

Thanks. It was a good day even if the weather didn't quite cooperate.

I think this is the longest train 611 has pulled in either of her excursion careers. And she handled it with ease. Who says 80,000 lbs of tractive effort is overkill?

Did it go through Montpelier OH on this trip?

I believe so..

If chance. There was a private car I believe on that trip. It was Henry fords personal car “Fairlane” owned by Richard Kughn in the 1990s before donating it to my workplace today, The Henry ford Museum. Do you have any footage of it or photos by chance ? Or even any recollection of it being on that consist ?

None of the cars on this trip look like the Fairlane to me. Possibly it was used on the Saturday trip only?
