Will removing the rubber cover with heat increase the range? I guess the coil is set to the uhf mhz. Can i get more range by removing the tape alone? Or do i need to find a way to extend the coil length to get more range. Any tips are appreciated, thanks

So there is no actual physical connection between the bnc and the 7550 connector besides a press fit? It will be interesting to see how long that will last.

there isn't a physical soldered connection. Yet, from a good compression, the connector seems to be still working. Thanks for asking

@@N0AGI opened some long antenna and coil is totaly different from this on stubby one i guess so i can't modify it to use with bnc😡😡🤬
