P2008 is still to this day the nicest flying airplane I’ve ever flown. Control harmony is second to none. With the 914 turbo it really makes this airplane come alive! 140 knots true with a constant speed prop easily.

Thank you for watching and commenting. We definitely like the P2008. I would like to fly the turbo some time but we thought it best to stay away from the turbo for training purposes.

I love the avionics in the trainer airplane. Been wanting to see one of these on the ramp to see what it looks like. Nice little trainer for sure.

I own the original P2008 Tecnam brought to the US as their demo plane in 2009. N208TA Serial #002! I love my P2008. I'm fortunate with mine that I have the older G3X non-touch PFD and a GTN650 so am using mine for IFR training as well (though the plane is not actually certified for IFR, but works great as a trainer!). Love that 4-5 gallons an hour!

We did get a LODA from Tecnam to install the GTN650 and to allow for IFR training.

You mentioned what you train in the Tecnam 2008. I didn’t hear IFR training. Can you not do IFR training in this aircraft?👊❤️✈️

Thank you for watching the video and commenting. You are correct…the P2008 is not certified for IFR training from Tecnam. We added the 172SP with G1000 flight deck as our primary IFR trainer for now. We did just order two more new aircraft that will be IFR certified.
