Shun, about 1 year ago I listened/watched some of your stuff. And I struggled so hard to understand even after multiple times watching. Now I can understand a great deal of it, 70-90%. Thank you so much. It feels good to see some progress, I appreciate your content.

Just last week I was thinking about why there wasn't someone walking around Japan doing interviews in Japanese for learners capturing the vibe of the city. Today I found your channel and it even has subs AND you introduce the words that give most people trouble. Amazing. Thanks a ton

I am so glad you found my channel that way!!! Thank you!!
this content cheered me up, i just started my journey into learning japanese, rn i am at one month of studying about 2 hours per day and i was getting a bit bummed by the high amount of time it would get to understand just at an N5 level at this pace, i was able to figure out about 50% of what you guys spoke about by using the little i know, at half the lenght of the video i realized your microphone is attached to a rice spoon, that's so funny man, keep it up and thank you!

Thank you so much for making these videos, Shun! I've been watching your videos for a better part of a year since I moved back to Japan (which I'm in Kyoto btw so hi neighbor!). Your videos have been such a great help though because most of your content is fairly easy to understand a good bridge from beginner to intermediate which is exactly where my Japanese level is currently. It's been really nice being able to understand a lot of your content even if I don't understand everything 100%. I usually can get enough to understand most of it which is a great feeling.

Hi Shun, I love the videos. I’ve been trying to learn Japanese to prepare for a trip to Kyoto soon, and they’ve been a great help. One thing, though, is that in videos like this it can be hard to tell who’s saying what with the subtitles when you and guests talk at the same time. Maybe you could color the text differently for different people. Thanks for such great Japanese listening material! ありがとう!

Im able to understand 80% this after 1 month in bunpro and wanikani full n5 and 30+ hand-picked important lessons in n4 and mostly at adept levels. Insane how i can understand so much after my adhd chose to hyperfocus on japanese, lol. Please use smaller font, so it's possible to add more vocabulary definitions. Don't really want to pause while watching to use a dictionary 😂

Hi shun, I'm not sure if you disabled subtitles or it was automatic but often times when I'm unsure of a word I'll switch on english translated subtitles for a second while paused to remind me of what a word is. Sometimes it is difficult using Google since kanji doesn't show spelling. It's just a quicker way. Btw I love your content! Been binging it recently and learning so much. Keep going, you're helping so many people. I've watched so many youtube channels but yours is the best for learning in my case (not comfortable writing japanese yet).
