Thanks for this clarity. Please could you help also clarify which, between n8n and ActivePieces, you would pick over the other an why as they both have self-hosting options. Much appreciated. Cheers!

Im a person that never used any automation including rSS but always wanted to. It just always went over my head with the operations including sending segmented emails but i'm here to learn hopefully more in depth of how to create my research workflows

Excellent narrative! Though it is long, not boring! That is the main thing and learned a lot of things.

I tried to keep it short, but there was a lot to cover. Glad you didn't find it boring!

Also, do you write your scripts out and use a teleprompter? Your videos are very precise and smooth. No time wasted. Love it!

Hey thanks for the encouragement! Yes, integrating with AI is in my lesson plan. I'm just starting with the basics first, but will quickly go into AI soon. I do script out my videos, I find I can't get my thoughts out succinctly if I don't!

at 1:39 did you take into account that zapier only charges you on action if you have 20 steps in your zap including 0 times for testing the app whereas make charges you 20 actions each time you test, and then 20 actions each time you run it?

Hey, thanks for the video! How reliable is self-hosting, does that simply depend on the server?

great video Ben. One question, if it is not for commercial use, then as an agency we cannot sell these automations to others on our self-hosted server?
@BenYoungAI4 ай бұрын
Commercial use is allowed as long as it's for "internal business purposes." My understanding is that they just don't want someone running a SaaS directly competing with their n8n cloud service. I think this applies to an agency (which is allowed): "Providing consulting services related to n8n, for example building workflows, custom features closely connect to n8n, or code that gets executed by n8n." An agency is essentially doing consulting services. Check out their Sustainable Use License page for all the details.

Nowadays it is impossible to know whether the video is sponsored or not as the companies have restricted guidelines that you couldn't tell your audience that this video is sponsored by bla bla company... so what happens is we don't get to know real things.

code > no-code garbage! If you can't write the code yourself, you don't deserve it!
@BenYoungAI4 ай бұрын
maybe... personally, I prefer low-code: where I can get up and running quickly using no-code and only code the complex parts that can't be done with no-code. But everyone has their own preferences based on comfort level, time, skills, etc.

It's like saying, "the washing machine is useless, it's garbage, if you don't wash everything by hand, the clothes won't come out clean"... while you have tools that simplify steps and give you good results, why not use them? There will always be times when these tools have a limit and that's where you use that expertise to code, but refusing those advances, that's garbage, I think.

@@renzoromero2781 or better yet, what he said means: "If you don't build your own washing machine, you don't deserve to use one" :D
