P100 > N95. Even the NIOSH doesn't do any medical recommendations on the manual.

Best practices would be to use P100, especially in high risk environments. They may not specifically state it, but the intent is obvious. What manual are you talking about?

@@afcinternationalinc.4761 The manual on the 3M P100 2091/2097 filters doesn't say anything about preventing viruses or for medical uses. The virus is as small as 0.13 micron, while all the tests of P100 or N95 are based on particles of 0.3 microns.

You are correct! However droplets could range from very small, below .3 and greater. So if I’m going to use a respirator, I will use the best that is available, even though it might not help with very small < .3 droplets. I never said that a p100 will give 100% protection.
