Food is like music, one genre can't satisfy everybody's taste. Most of white people like Sushi but I don't like it for lacking of spices. Sushi to me is the most boring Asian foods.

I agree 100%, my favorite cuisine is Thai, I don’t even like Russian cuisine as much as Thai 😂

@@kaskinyashki One thing that most foreigners don't know is all Danang's foods are the remake or copies of other regions. Three gastronomical capitals of food in Vietnam are Hanoi, Hue and Saigon. The first dessert you had is called Che and the second dish is called Com Ga Chien. Try them in Saigon because where they are originated. The third is western food I believe so I don't comment on it. I visited Thailand two times and it's a shock to me that Vietnamese food in Thailand is more expensive than Thai food. One Vietnamese dish called "Nem Nuong" that Thai people love and I saw lots of restaurants in Thailand specializing selling this dish. Finally, Thai foods are not loved by Vietnamese taste buds because they're spicy. That's why you don't see many Thai restaurants in Vietnam but Thai food are famous in US, Canada and some European countries.

thanks for the advice! it was very interesting to read!) fun fact, when we first time arrived in Vietnam in 2022 (in Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang), everyone advised us to try Pho soup, but we didn’t like it at all, then we tried Banh Mi and started eating it all the time, it was soooo delicious, especially in Ho Chi Minh City (since then we haven’t seen such a delicious one), although we gained extra weight on these divine baguettes 😂 Then we tried Mi Quang noodles and there was no love either. I even thought that I didn’t like Vietnamese cuisine. And so we returned to Vietnam in 2023 and now I have dishes that I eat all the time - the most delicious breakfast Bo Ne, rice with chicken - Com Ga, super tasty pork - Con Suon, pancakes Banh Xeo and Banh Can, spring rolls - Nem, and for a snack I like to eat hot Banh Bao or the same Banh Mi sandwich. In general, love with Vietnamese cuisine did not happen immediately, but the more dishes you learn, the more you begin to like it

@@kaskinyashki Cooking Pho Soup is a tricky job. I myself can cook Pho Soup but I can't reach the level of deep broth as sold by famous Pho restaurants. They have their own secret ingredients and secret techniques. If you happen to be in Hanoi or Saigon tasting Pho at the famous Pho restaurants you will see their broths are all good but tastes are not the same. A bit more of my thought about boring sushi. Japan is a cold island country. For thousand of years they couldn't produce spices and spices could only be imported to Japan at the beginning of 17 centuries. I believe that's the reason why Japanese eat raw fish because they don't have spices in the old days. The same thing goes for sushi served with soya sauce which is originally Chinese sauce. And with contact Chinese culture and Chinese food they have their own version. Japanese Ramen is a Japanese version of Chinese noodles.
