Love this song. This is my favourite song in terms of lyrics. He's giving thanks to his inner-being for guiding him towards his blessings and bringing peace and joy to his life. This song is about going within and recognizing the voice of God nudging you to go towards your path of highest fulfillment and happiness. The french bit is a metaphor and it's not obvious if you don't understand the rest of the song. Translation: "You know how I searched It was the walk that rocked me Who stays when the wave is gone Ceaseless like my steps on the cobblestones hey This stone that you threw In the pool of my thoughts That stays when the wave is gone" He was looking for answers, looking for peace and happiness, and he found it by walking, a lot. He explains that amidst all of his chaotic thoughts (the pool), his inner-being threw in some advice/guidance in there (the stone), and once he cleared his mind (and the wave is gone), the advice/guidance was still present and obvious because it's not submerged in a "sea of thoughts". Meditation does that. When you clear your mind and feel your vibration go up, at some point some helpful thoughts come up, like an idea, and following that idea will guide you to something that your inner-being knows that you want or would enjoy. This is the greatest wisdom that a man can share to another man: to find God within and listen, so that you can find all of the wisdom and answers for Yourself. Teach a man how to fish... We need more artists like this. We need more people like this.

D'accord. Je lai écouté et j'ai aimé. Quelques heures plus tard, je l'écoute a nouveau pour me l approprier peu a peu. Bravo pour chanter en français. Je préfère le flow a la jamaïcaine nottament car tu le maitrises vraiment bien... mais je ne sais pas comment dire, autant karma, badman beware et skankin Shoes sont des hymnes pour moi, autant cette chanson en particulier semble me caresser me coeur, directement, comme un ami de longue date qui m'aide a affronter le présent.
