Loved the Na Pali coast tour. Scenery there is amazing. Got to see Dolphins, sea turtles and some eagle rays. We also went snorkeling which was a great experience. Hanalei bay and beach is simply amazing too, with the mountains in the background. We like the little shops and restaurants there, in the town centre. Well worth a visit. Miss Kauai and cant wait to go back there. Thanks for sharing this video.

I like watching these snorkeling videos. It is because it often harder for me to jump off a snorkeling dive boat into water than to jump off the edge of the ice into the water in the middle of the winter with just a bathing suit on if the mood and occasion are right.
@OnHawaiiTime5 жыл бұрын
Aloha Vernon! Thank you for watching. You are brave!! There's no way you'd catch me jumping into ice water in winter.

We did that tour the year before the storms. Awesome! We’ve also done a few leaving Port Allen. Couldn’t agree with you more - leaving out of Hanalei is so much better. Thanks so much for the video. Keep them coming. Hoping Autumn is feeling better. Aloha!

Thanks for the advice I might try it again... Out of Hanalei bay instead of the port. We stayed at Hanalei bay drove... What seemed like forever at dark 30 am and had a horid 🤮time from the port side tour. Had to drive all the way back to the North shore sick 🤮 I even took motion sickness mad the night before but oooooh my it was one rocky day!!! Felt like I was riding a mechanical bull for 2 dang hours 😂😂😂

Aloha Susan! Definitely give it another try out of Hanalei this this boat tour. It is not nearly as rough as the traditional "zodiac" boats.

Sorry, I may have asked this before, but I don't remember the answer. I saw some videos of Black Pot Beach and the Hanalei Pier after the big storm and I remember seeing a lot of sand under the Pier and little or no water! Was that sand from all the runoff from the storms? I can't imagine that the sea level dropped there! Please explain when you have time! I also did receive your email! Thank you!
@OnHawaiiTime4 жыл бұрын
Aloha Alvin, yes that sand was from the run-off. But, happy to report that the area is all cleaned up now and they have a lovely new parking lot and are working on new bathrooms. We were just there yesterday. Not sure when the bathrooms will be open but they seem to be pretty close. I don't know this for certain but they look very much like those "self cleaning" type of bathrooms. Which would be amazing because the beach park bathrooms are usually pretty disgusting...in my opinion. haha!
@DrAlvinEng4 жыл бұрын
@@OnHawaiiTime-Thank you Autumn for your quick reply! Just amazing that there was so much runoff to make ALL the water disappear under the end of the Hanalei Pier! So Good to see Nature heal itself with the help of people! Still not sure when our Family will make it back to Kauai! Now harder to travel with now 4 Grandkids in Tow! Still wouldn't want it any other way as we would love to introduce them to the beach and Beauty of Kauai! 3 currently live in San Diego so the beach is not that foreign to them!

Aloha Autumn and Brody. We'll be on inland in just two short weeks. Cannot wait to be back on Hawaii time. FYI, we're planning an ukulele kanikapila for Sunday, August 4th in Koloa at the community center. Stop on by if you'd like to join us. We'll be there from about 1pm - 5pm. We did one I think it was called Sea wolf??? something like that anyway it left from the Port Ooooh my I thought I was going to die. I've never been that sick before. We went last September. The captain was a young kid... Arrogant and drove as fast and reckless as possible. By the time we got back to the port we were all green 🤮 That said... The beauty of the coast line was unforgettable! We didn't see many fish. ... However I heard if we had taken a tour w a scuba shop we would have seen beautiful fish. The guide said This trip/tour was more about seeing the coast line. Anyway I'm going to try a scuba tour next time. We have traveled to Kauai 7 times. Our fav memory is the helicopter tour 🤗

Aloha Susan! Oh I'm so sorry, that sounds terrible!! We've been on the traditional "zodiac" boats a few times and yes they are a very "adventurous" ride! You definitely come out of it feeling a little beat up but if a full on adrenaline is what someone is going for then that would be the tour for them...LOL. This tour was not like that at all. The seats were very comfortable and you didn't have to hold on for dear life. You can ride up hear the front and hold onto the side if you so desire but the seats are there for you to sit forward in comfort. I would highly recommend this boat and this tour leaving out of Hanalei. This is seasonal though. They can't leave out of Hanalei in the winter months when the swells are bigger. So if you get a chance to come back, try this one!! Thank you so much for watching!

Hi there from Texas! We will be heading to Kauai in March. I can't decide between Captain Andy's or HoloHolo ! Help I'm sure both are AWESOME but what are the differences. Veronica
@raymondbarry41965 жыл бұрын
Hmm sounds like you might not be feeling well either Brodi, your voice seemed a couple octaves higher there in the beginning. That didn't seem as rough as the zodiac tour I was on, the seating looked better as you didn't need to hang on the side of the boat to the rope. The hanging on to the rope was why I couldn't do the zodiac this last time as I injured my shoulder last year. Would you say it was easier with this boat design?
@OnHawaiiTime5 жыл бұрын
Aloha Raymond! Brodi was having a hard time getting the words out so I just had to give him a little help...hahahahaha! I think you would like this boat tour much better. The seats were so comfortable and it was not as jarring as the traditional "zodiac" tours we've done in the past. Come back and we'll do a tour with you!

Love your videos! Could you tell me more about the sunscreen? We are coming in late October for our honeymoon. I have red hair and burn VERY easily! We plan on doing many outdoor activities including a boat tour/hiking/etc. Am I allowed to pack my own sunscreen that is reef safe or can I only buy it when I get there? Any other tips to avoid bad burns? I realize there’s probably no avoiding at least some minor burns....
@OnHawaiiTime5 жыл бұрын
Aloha Chloe! Well as you can see I am a red head with very pale skin too!! haha! The best sunscreen for me is Raw Elements. You can most likely buy it in your home town or you can definitely purchase it online before you come. Here is what I do to avoid getting burnt...as much as possible anyway: visit the beach in the early morning hours or late afternoon, avoid the mid-day sun as it is the most harsh for me. Wear a hat...all the time...hat hat hat! When snorkeling wear a long sleeve rash guard (made with SPF material) or wetsuit top. I'm wearing a wet suit top in this video. Mainly to avoid the sun but also because I tend to get very very cold in the water so it helps to keep my lips from turning purple...LOL. Stay in the shade, rent an umbrella while you are here, and/or go to beaches with shady trees. Thank you so much for watching and for supporting our channel!! We truly appreciate the positive feedback!
