When the movies were released, I was eight years old. For these films, my age is irrelevant. Even though the story was filmed in 1979 and is in black and white, the story, melodies, and performance of the actors and actresses are all fantastic. Old Bangalore was also a slice of heaven on Earth. Kalpana's performance as a daughter is outstanding. The activation of Leelavathi and Ashwath is the best. Vadiraj is a superb actor. Kannada movies, both white and black, are among the best in the world. Before the old generation, people's age ends, Kannada white and black movies should be released in all theaters. A very unfortunate fact is that new generations are missing out on such amazing films, and young people are fascinated with films in English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and other languages. How can we transform our history of the golden age and golden movies to a new generation? Really the new generation people like olden & golden movies, old Bangalore, Kannada, Kalpana, Ashwath, Leelavathi, Late Vadiraj, late Shivaram,?

This was my graduation days (1982) movie . Somehow I missed seeing it before. Kannada cinema has evolved over time and 70s and 80s were perhaps the golden periods where we could get to see quality movies. This movie surprised me at the storyline. The adult ego specially between husband and wife is uncompromisingly picturised here. I waited anxiously for early realisation of this by the main characters ( parents) with wisdom dawning on them. But it does not happen till end and it comes by because of the threat of losing children . This is where it makes you think the lesson is learnt only hard way. Wish the director had brought about the realization of husband -wife relation in a finer way of understanding and overcoming the ego. But because of that it becomes relevant even today after 30 plus years. Songs are really nice especially the title song, I have enjoyed the song all my life for the great and romantic lyrics it is having . Overall a good movie to watch again and if not watched so far it is a must watch. 1st July 2019.

He has not stated that the movie was released in '82. I saw this movie in the year 1972 in Bangalore . It was indeed nice to see it again now after a lapse of 48 years. @ my 77th year remembering the old days is really very heartening
