Yeah, that Hwei is kinda slow. I played this matchup. If Hwei never uses his E, you can't engage on him at all. Unless you want to get hit by EQ - Point blank Ult and just die because of Ult's slow

Good trick in that clip there is how naafiri uses W from behind her minions so at least hwei needs a better timing. However I don't think this hwei even realises that any cc can stop naafiri W (or even that his EQ has a knockdown and EE has pull in cases of other champions' dashes)

I was, a week before season 14, top 100 in Europe with Naafiri with a 74% win rate (Naafiri was tier D). as then, even now, it is necessary to have Magical Footwear as a rune. Why? With Naafiri you don't need to close your shoes. This rune allows you to exploit your potential in the early game to be able to 1. roam; 2. don't spend golds; 3. buy another AD item that gives you further advantage. When you reach 5 items before the 30th you sell the shoes and buy another AD item. I prefer to play it with First Strike, Magical Footwear, Biscuit Delivery (or triple tonic), Cosmic Insight, Presence of Mind and one on the slot 3. These runes against almost everyone, then when playing against champions like Xerath (very range) then Conqueror (as in the video) + magical footwear and Cosmic Insight (for ignite).

yee I played Naafiri before buff, I ban Akali. Imo damage was never her problem, clunkly w is. The buff to her doggos early is crazy but I'll enjoy it till they nerf it. (edit) Personally I think Akali is the best pick against the Dog because all you need to do is occasionally move up and Q her, poke dmg and kill all the dogs in one move. Her dogs were a lot of her damage before and they are most of her damage now early game

3:10 Hwei does not need to be immaculate to land his cc, during w dash (has a .75 sec windup and shows you the line she will travel) Naafiri's pack becomes untargetable so all he has to do is hit her during the w dash to land the fear, kinda crazy that a KR dia+ midlaner did not know that after Naafiri being out for a year (wasted fear before Naafiri w AGAIN at 5:40)

nah they need to take the part away where the tower targets dogs instead of the champ. that part is way too op for dives, a lot of these players aren't use to his ult timing and blow flash prematurely from panic but once they get the timing down... they'll escape.

When the champ came out I made a reddit post about how the dogs of Naafiri would be broken compared to most invocations like Malz's voidlings, zyra plants, yorick ghouls etc. They tried to make a better version of them and it's straight up broken, nobody would believe me and here we are with a monster win rate for the dog.
