A sad reflection of true happenings in India, and many parts of the world. Balu Mahendra was a true visionary to make such insightful short story films, especially during a time when short stories were not the norm! I'm happy that at least in the end, the protagonist was reunited with someone who truly cared for her aspirations, and was her true guardian.

28.Mar.22....literacy rate has increased now in all states in India...awareness has increased..but along with that the selfishness has also increased to the core. Humanitarian sense has decreased to the bottom...in fact, the learned people are more selfish and inhumane...even if 100 movies like this are released that won't make any difference.... As usual balu mahendra rocks...

We had another needy girl joined for work in our home. She was doing her first year college. We paid her fees and she completed her degree. Then we encouraged her to do B. Ed. She successfully completed B. Ed. too. Gave her one year fees as gift and one year fees her family paid by raising a loan. Very very happy that we were able to make two girls graduates.
