In my eyes, Fiora is a skillful champion, just very unbalanced. You can definitely tell a good Fiora from a bad one. But the fact that her vitals do true damage based on max hp is insane and makes people who normally don't have the skill to play her, have some success with the champ.

she is not, the biggest problem with fiora as a "skillful" champ is that she can't miss anything other than the parry wich means you can only outplay her if her damage is not enough to kill you or if you can kill her before she outputs all her damage

You can't talk about skilled champions without taking into account skill floors and ceilings. Fiora has a low floor, meaning people who are new to the champion can still perform and be useful. She also has a high ceiling, meaning the best Fiora's can pull off some insane shit (stuff like proccing ult in less than a second) Zoe has a really high skill floor; it's hard for people to pick up the champion, your experience and knowledge from other champions don't translate really well, and you need to be at least decent at her in order the perform even a little. Darius has a really low skill ceiling. Yes you'll learn matchups and macro and stuff, but mechanically you'll hit your peak in 20 games. Fiora is a "skilled champion" not because it's hard to be useful with her, but because it's hard to perfectly pilot her. Same goes for Gragas, Aatrox etc.

Darius has a lower ceiling than the average champion but I don't think it's as low as people make it seem. I hate him so much but there's plenty of ways you can fuck up when playing as him.

skill champions are defined by outplay potential, not if the champ is hard or not imo. for example the base of riven, zed, yasuo, lee sin and irelia are pretty simple, but good players who master these champions can pull off insane plays on these unlike a champ like garen where even if you’re the greatest garen its still always q spin to win and ult

I have the same problem with sup players .I main thresh and its very difficult to play him perfectly and im versing champs lile soraka and lulu who dont have a single skillshot and they xin lane without using thier brain cause they play this champs .And because some people who played thresh got very nice and mastered the champ theu are nerding him very bad .

Skillchamps do exist, nuffin to belive in or not. But for a good mechanical player it wont matter that much. Irelking f/e can pick any champion any time and is insanely good at it. to me a skilled champion is one who has to THINK to make a move (kill, trade, invade,push) and cant go blindly in(unless fed), who CAN get punished when the player plays bad and will feel the consequence of such punishment because it sets them back. WW top, malphite with its shitass q, olaf , yorick, VOLI, gwen are all unskilled on this. They can either mindlessly fight/push and go away when they want or can be 0/10 and still be relevant and extremely strong before even reaching ur cs or overall gold income. If that's what's called scaling, then it's too often unfair, what's even the point of the laning phase mattering this much. Also, becoming immensely strong or unkillable with just the first item is wild in this season, but i guess that has more to do with champion scalings and the items. All imma say is that tank meta never ended

Unskilled champs and broken tanks often have an aura of overpoweredness, of being able to ignore maaany rules. I've never seen ww or voli top managing waves. Only time it happened it was him mirroring me as i just did it to them before, so i was teaching those dogs in the meantime too. They obv have to think to be able to move their champs, but can freely ignore up to a good point strategy, caution, build and gameplan adaptation, cds, matchups and fed enemies they'll suddenly overpower with 1-2 items, without having to outsmart them in combat. I think the only "hard" part is to manage your matchup and the transition into midgame well Aatrox loses most of his matchups a little bit and also can't really pressure turrets on sidelane very well He IS insanely strong in the right teamfights though

Nah he’s not mechanically easy, he’s medium level. Champs that have some niche mechanics can never be considered ”very easy”. Very easy is olaf, yi, vi, etc. Aatrox requires game knowledge at least for him to function
