Is Ferrofish conversion similar in quality to RME? Im running an RME UFX III and need more conversion but do NOT want to compromise. Thoughts?

I wanted to buy it, but there is serious drawback - so-called "flexible" routing can be done ONLY in blocks of 8. In other words you can not patch your analog gear, compressors through A32pro. And I know why, because it is much, much cheaper to route 8 I/Os than a single channel. And it won't change with update, as A32pro is wired that way. Antelope Orion 32 gen. 4 can do it for the same price, as well as sending audio through usb, and a32pro can't do it either. Both can work in stand-alone mode.

Hey...you said you wanted to buy "it". I assume you mean the Ferrofish A32Pro? Can you elaborate on the drawbacks mentioned above re flexible routing? When you say "route your analog gear" do you mean hardware? Because you can route synths. I was considering one for effects sends/returns and synth inputs using MADI > DAW.

Still on USB lads? Yes it's enough to get the job done but so is a reel to reel if you don't make any mistakes.

Usb is only for control/updates. You can not send audio from a32pro through usb.
