Nabeel Qureshi Tribute

My best friend Nabeel Qureshi passed away on September 16th 2017 after year+ long battle with stomach cancer. Words cannot describe how magnificent of a friend he was or what he was like to those who never knew him personally. In just 13 years we went from total strangers to unlikely friends to best friends and I went from being his best man to pallbearer in just over 11 years. Far too short and far too young for the world to lose such an amazing friend, husband, father, brother, son. He was larger than life in a much smaller way when I first met him but I wasn't the least bit surprised at how the world came to realize it as well in a much larger way over the years. Without even trying he changed my life and I knew it was happening from the first day I met him. I will sorely miss him everyday for as long as I live.
I made this video as a memorial to our friendship. I tried to put photos and videos in relative chronological order. The song was recorded at his funeral.

What a beautiful tribute to your friend. I did not know Nabeel, but I did go to the funeral. I drove 4 hours to get there because I had grown to love him so much through his videos. His story is amazing and it gives me hope for other muslims to become believers in Jesus. I know that God will use Nabeel even now more than He did before his death & I'm inspired to live for Jesus with more intention after what I've witnessed. I look forward to meeting him in heaven one day. It's so odd to pray over the loss of a man I never met, but he was a brother in Christ, not a stranger.

His wife taught Ayah to say, "when we finish our purpose on earth, and die and go to heaven, we will see Baba forever". Dr. Nabeel fought a good fight and won the race. It's our time to do same. I'm from Chile, a very far away country, and only this year I know to Nabeel and his testimony. I was really impacted bis his story but mainly for the courage to embrace Jesus's faith and His Gospel despite the relatives consequences. I love apologetic, and apologetic is not to defend the cause Christ, because is God and doesn't need to be defended, apologetic reflect the deep desire to know much deeper whom deserve more than anyone be known and this was that I saw in his life. I'm a christian myself I belief in the gospel of paul, but I just learned about Nabeel's story on facebook a week ago,...about his book seeking allah finding Jesus and testimony, I was so very moved about his whole experience,..he somehow made me more curious about him and his preaching/teachings, So I researched him more online, after seeing a couple more of his wonderful videos I learned he passed in 2017....And WOW !!!...learning this, made me very sad !!?? I mean I only knew Nabeel for a couple hours thru his video's....why was I so sad??....God took him to soon....He could have preach the gospel to many more who are in doubt or are seeking God...,...but God said "no" to that....Why?? I don't know and we may never know,... but I know that Nabeel is with the Lord Jesus in heaven. I was shocked and disbelief when my husband is searching for something and it suddenly appeared a woman interviewing David about the death of Nabeel, so with my doubt I followed some of the videos and I found out that its true.I was touch I shed tears. I am one of those thousands who watched his testimonies and preach,it was great! I'm so sorry about your loss. I never meet Nabeel but I've watched just about every video that he ever produced. He was an inspiration for me throughout my conversion so he will forever have a special place in my heart. I pray and meditate daily and the day I found out Nabeel died in my prayer and meditation I saw Nabeel wearing his best and most radiant smile ever as he walked into heaven for the first time... Nabeel truly lived in Christ and I only fully understood the meaning of this when I was his last video blog and heard his final message of love. Your friend is in heaven...be happy for him. God often harvest early fruits and we struggle to understand why but I believe that Nabeel's life, his disease, and his death are God's way of showing people today what a true Christian is like...faithful through any kind of persecution and suffering. Love lead Nabeel to accept God's plan for him and I believe in my heart that through his death Nabeel will inspire a generation of imitators of Nabeel who will all spread the teachings of Christ. That is the true reason...God needs more Nabeels and this is the best way to make new ones. You, your family, and Nabeel's family are in my prayers. GBU!

There is a 600 year old book called the imitation of Christ (most translated book after the bible) which I was reading at the same time Nabeel died and it also made me realize how far Nabeel had advanced spiritually. This is the chapter I was reading when Nabeel died so his death and last words really took home his last message of love: Love is a strong force---a great good in every way; it alone can make our burdens light, and alone it bears in equal balance what is pleasing and displeasing. It carries a burden and does not feel it; it makes all that is bitter taste sweet. The noble love of Jesus urges us to do great things and spurs us on to desire perfection. Love tends upward to God and is not occupied with the things of earth. Love also will be free from all worldly affections, so that its inner Vision does not become dimmed, nor does it let itself be trapped by any temporal interest or downcast by misfortune. Nothing is sweeter than love, nothing higher, nothing stronger, nothing larger, nothing more joyful, nothing fuller, nothing better in heaven or on earth; for love is born of God and can find its rest only in God above all He has created. Such lovers fly high, run swiftly and rejoice. Their souls are free; they give all for all and have all in all. For they rest in One Supreme Goodness above all things, from Whom all other good flows and proceeds. They look not only at the gifts, but at the Giver, Who is above all gifts. We as His creation in His own image are invited to make a willing choice to surrender our own wills. To give our lives to live, take up the cross and come after me. Words of Christ. Jesus taught that he who loves mother, father,brother,son, or wife/ husband more then me is not worthy of me. When we approach the living God in His perfect way. He will create in us a clean heart which will not sin against Him. Him Love will cover a multitude of sin. When we die to self then are we alive to Christ. Nabeel was a living example of someone who did this. Not in his physical death, but Nabeel died daily to self interest self gain to gain Christ. I never met Nebeel personally, but a lot can be seen through the eyes of my Heavenly Father when I watched the way his life was recorded for all of us to see. As well I read and heard many people testify that Nabeel live his life in private as he did in public. And as he and Dr. Ravi have said many a time the evidence is overwhelming in favour that God is real and those who believe in the only one and real God that there lives would be changed and thus effect the lives of many. This to me is the greatest reason why I love my brother (s) in the Lord. Because He my Lord and saviour first loved me. We are commanded to love one another as this is right in Christ. May God bless Nabeel’s family and may God continue to receive the Glory due to Nabeel’s living testimony.

Allan DeNeve Off course God is love, you are absolutely correct. I only shared part of a chapter in an entire book on spiritual living, God being love is the core of the book. It's not scripture but rather a book that helps understand how to live out scripture. It has been the most popular spiritual reading for Protestants and Catholics after the bible for the last 600 years. I highly recommend it. I have "the new illustrated edition". Did you see the video Michelle posted? It was truly inspiring, amazing how she was able to speak for 20 min and not shed a single tear. I believe God will use Nabeel life to inspire many imitators of Nabeel who will carry on similar ministries all over the world. Let's pray for that and for his family. God bless!

I only found out about him after he died, but even so I miss him terribly. This man played a significant part in strengthening my faith in Christ our Lord. He lived out God's wishes for us as Christians to the best of his ability. I wish I could've talked to him - but he's with our Father now. Love u Nabeel.

I did not know Nabeel until a few days ago when I stumbled upon a video of his on KZbin and to be honest, I cried uncontrollably when I found out he died in 2017. It's almost as if I knew him. I immediately fell in love with his personality and willingness to share the good news of the gospel with people. It is unfortunate that you left too soon, but I am sure you are rejoicing with the Angel's in heaven my brother in Christ Nabeel. You seemed to have touched many lives around the world, and that to me is amazing. I just pray for your family to continue to find solace and keep your legacy alive.

He recommended me the book "seeking allah finding jesus", thats how i came to know about Nabeel. I was so inspired by him, i watched so many of his gospels. I have to share this. I'm in tears watching this beautiful moving tribute. Unfortunately I've never met Nabeel and only now I've found out that he died it touched me so badly, I didn't even knew him but I loved him for what an amazing person he was. First time I came across his videos I'd watch his spechees and debates for hours. There was something so unique about him, about his aproach to another person, he loved God and people so much. I'm very sad because his wife must be missing him so very much, I can't imagine what his familly is going through. I was very zealous when I was watching his videos for the first time around 2008, I thought I'm gonna be like this forever, and I thought I'd find a man like this that would bring me close to God. Well over the last years I had a kind of falling out bcs of my sinful ways, and my fiance is falling out too :( I wanted to be baptised, I tried so many times, I come from a catholic background. I am far too gone now, I sinned way too much to be brought back not bcs God can't do it but bcs I've been a big huge hypocrite and can't forgive myself for that. I've become so bad that I didn't even pray anymore or read the Bible, nothing moved me anymore bcs of my sins. Today I'm watching christian videos again and its Nabeel's videos that brought me to tears. I'm crying because he was such a noble man, so amazing and wonderful and he had to die, while me big sinner is still sinning and living life. Why is this:( Thank you God for giving me this miracle ofbeing alive. I wish I could be good and innocent again Please pray for me if you can :( I want to be a good christian and please God. Nabeel is dead and was punished by Allah. Jesus couldn`t save him, but does isn`t make sense when jesus couldn’tsave himself?

@@notgotnameyet Not that Jesus couldn't save himself but He was the only one qualified to pay for the sins of mankind and He came for that purpose, to die in their place. He took our punishment on Himself so that we can be with him forever more in heaven and not be thrown to hell. That's how much He loves us.Everyone will die one day but where will you go after death. That is the scary part. If Christianity is fake. you have nothing to lose but if Christianity is true and you reject Him, there is no hope, no second chance for you. Put your trust in Him and you will be forgiven from your sins and will be with Him one day gloriiously happy and secure.

We agree that jesus could do many miraculous things. But what if jesus (peace be upon him) was prophet? Because we can proof from Bible and also from Quran and hadiths that he was a man, who lived on this earth, who born as a MIRACULOUS way and could do many MIRACULOUS things. But we can proof to you that he was praying and begging to god. Do you believe Jesus is God? Can you explain to me 1corithians15:24 "then the end will come, christ will overcome all spiritual rulers, authorities, and powers, and will hand over the kingdom to God the Father. DO YOU PRAYLIKE MULIMS AS JESUS DID? From your own bible. Check her. Mathew 26:39. "Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed" He was begging and praying a god. I put the whole paragraph out so that you can see for yourself that Jesus Christ rose from the dead thus conquering death(which Muslims do not accept) and those who belong to Him will also rise to eternal life. He will put all things under the feet of the Father including Himself(Son). The Father and Son are both seen clearly here (which Muslims do not accept either). In Matthew 26:39, Jesus is seen praying to the Father. We do not believe in 3 God's but 3 persons in 1 God which is not easy to explain but clearly seen in the Bible. His posture when praying shows the intensity of His prayer not a rule to follow. In Luke 11:2-4He taught us a model prayer... And He said to them, “When you pray, say: ‘Father, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. ‘Give us each day our daily bread. ‘And forgive us our sins, For we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation.’” Do you pray like this? Jesus is fully human and fully divine but while on earth, His divinity is hidden. It is seen when He heals people from their diseases and feeds the people. Even the wind and sea obeys Him. Luke 8:26-28 Then they sailed to the country of the Gerasenes, which is opposite Galilee. And when He came out onto the land, He was met by a man from the city who was possessed with demons; and who had not put on any clothing for a long time, and was not living in a house, but in the tombs. Seeing Jesus, he cried out and fell before Him, and said in a loud voice, “What business do we have with each other, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg You, do not torment me.” Even the demons recognized who He was. Luke 7:11-17 Soon afterwards He went to a city called Nain; and His disciples were going along with Him, accompanied by a large crowd. Now if i tell you many hadith where the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) telling people their sins were forgiven and they were already permitted to paradise will you thing his god? Ofcourse no. When you become muslims all your sins will be forgiven, ALL and you would be like new born without sins. Allaah Says (what means): {Say to those who have disbelieved, if they cease (from disbelief) their past will be forgiven.}[Quran 8:38]. So us you can see, new muslim has wiped all their sins aways. People used to ask messengers of Allah/God to show them evidence that they were sent from god. That`s why Allah gave the messengers miraculous skills so they could convince the humans. f.eks jesus could do many miraculous things by the will of god and Muhammad could split the moon by the will of GOD (peace be upon them). Here is the ten people who were given the glad tidings of Paradise. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Abu Bakr will be in Paradise, ‘Umar will be in Paradise, ‘Uthmaan will be in Paradise, ‘Ali will be in Paradise, Talhah will be in Paradise, al-Zubayr will be in Paradise, ‘Abd al-Rahmaan ibn ‘Awf will be in Paradise, Sa’d will be in Paradise, Sa’eed will be in Paradise, and Abu ‘Ubaydah ibn al-Jarraah will be in Paradise.” (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 3747). Sa’d is Sa’d ibn Abi Waqqaas, and Sa’eed is Sa’eed ibn Zayd. There are also a number of other Sahaabah who were given the glad tidings of Paradise, such as Khadeejah bint Khuwaylid, ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Salaam, ‘Ukaashah ibn Muhsan and others, but the ten mentioned above are called the ten who were given the glad tidings of Paradise because their glad tidings came in one hadeeth. And Allaah knows best. So being miracuolus doesn`t mean being god.

On exactly the same day Nabeel Qureshi and I were both born into this world. I have only ever met one other person born on the exact same day as myself. To say that this man's life, testimony and legacy has left an impact on me is an understatement. I cried so much watching this beautiful tribute to your best friend. What a true privilege to know such a man, and surely you must be a wonderful and kind soul to have been so close to him. Although I cry when I think of his passing, I feel compelled to live this life in a way that continues that legacy of loving others, proclaiming Christ and living for God that he left for us. I will forever remember the man who died too soon but nothing is beyond the care and appointment of our Heavenly Father who Nabeel goes to be with. I never met Nabeel but I watched his testimony video and became a Christian because of it before his death. I had amazing encounters with God, supernatural, because the testimony was such an impact on me. He is my spiritual father. Even now after 5 years I still cry for his loss. I couldn't listen to the song in the video "10,000 reasons" for a long time, because it reminds me of him and how heartbroken he was. He never gave up on his faith in Jesus with all the infirmities! He prayed once I would do it all again for just one soul. That soul is me, Nabeel. Jesus lives in him now, 10,000 years and then forever more.

Hi Burke, I only watched a few of Dr Qureshi's Sermons online here this evening, but I'm hooked, he's a passionate and talented preacher and his skill at explaining the Gospel is exciting and excellently presented. I'm glad you all put his message online because it has reached me and I'm just a lowly servant of Christ from the UK, currently in Seattle, WA packing to go home and was listening to KZbin Apologists to encourage me as I start a Journey into sharing the message of Christ. But seriously His Sermons are awesome...I know you are already but you all should be proud. I love the way he explains the Gospel, with his passion and fiery faith. I hope to meet him in Heaven and hear more from him, he seems a fun person to hand around with :) I pray that the Lord eases your pain and sees fit to bless his family. I too have a best friend like Nabeel, I almost lost my best friend too when he was run over when we were 13 and we crossed the road, His name is Sodires Poulloura (Steve)... He died many times on the operating table that week, but each time doctors brought him back. I didn't know for a long time, but discovered recently he is a Christian and I didn't even know. He didn't tell me until I tried to share the Gospel with him. I used to worry so much about dying because of this thing that happened in front of my eyes, I was petrified and even now I am petrified that my Kids will run into the road and die. But now I have come to find Jesus I know that if it is Gods will, it will be done. God wants to hang out with the best of us right, so he takes us at His will. I don't know why I'm telling you how I feel about all that really, I just want to reassure you that Christ has him, the Lord keeps him and the Lord will one day keep you too. You will be reunited with him FOREVER in Heaven and 13 years was enough time in this place. In the next you'll have lot's of time together (Infinity right ;) ).
