It is most condescending to hear you speak so candidly and fondly of the fact that you weren't aware this and that African country, exists. Group C in the AFC Third Round will be a really interesting one to watch. Basically two separate competitions going on in that group lol, with the three heavyweights of the group fighting each other for the two direct qualification spots and to avoid the third place that would send them to the Fourth Round playoff, while the other three battle it out for that fourth place spot to get into the Fourth Round playoff.

As a Nigerian fan I can say that we can still make World Cup, despite being second Lowest without a single win we just played 4 games and most of our matches we had serious coaching problems ( our coach for the Benin game lit said infront of the camera that tactics aren't rlly important as well has playing players in their worst areas) if we win the remaining 6 games we will qualify partly due to unpredictable nature of Group C, for example if we win against Rwanda more than 2 goals we would become like 3rd or 2nd, I hear we want to get Harve Renard who won Zambia their first AFCON and won the next edition with Ivory Coast, also he's responsible for Saudi Arabia's win against Argentina. They are also plans to get Phillipines coach would did good for them. One thing about the current nature of Nigeria's qualifications is that Nigeria just avoids not making a tournament, for example we almost didn't make the 2021 and 2023 AFCON plus we barely made it out of group stages so NIGERIA STILL HAS HOPE

This is gonna be a good one! If it was up to me, I'd reduce the amount of direct qualifiers by quite a bit- 12 maybe?- and stage a qualifying tournament in the host country or countries one year prior to the World Cup. Imagine if 32 national teams showed up from all over the world, mostly from countries that have made the tournament proper rarely if ever, and they all play a bunch of matches in order to determine who the final qualifying spots go to. That would instantly become the second or third most popular and lucrative tournament on the FIFA calendar, hands down. Especially if India and China are both involved in it, which is fairly likely. That's what I want. Until that happens, money is being left on the table and along with that, we are just guessing how many slots should go to each confederation. And we're guessing with numbers that are quite a bit larger than before. We shouldn't guess. We should have a big sexy tournament and decide it on the field. Each confed plays out some qualifying sequence to determine who goes directly, and then anywhere from one to six additional teams are entered into this global qualifying tournament. That would be way better than these one-off inter confed play-in things. Give me a whole ass tournament, please.
