I miss the sound of them old school Detroits 6v and 8v. I remember you have to turn off the AC just to get the bus to climb up Saratoga coming past Calvert, traveling West bound.

Just like Chi-CTA's 1991 Flxibles and Lansing MI CATA's 1988/91's Flxible Metro's were very Slow take-offs but once it got to 2nd gear it Haul's Ass.

the flxible metro c 40102 6TL with the 6L 71 Detroit diesel engine with the v731 Allison automatic transmission have the grummanflxible 870 spirit in the flxible metro buses

@ea90744 But the 2900 series used the more powerful 6V92TA although they had the same V731 transmission as the 2800s.
