This is Nachde Yaar Punjab De (NYPD) representing Canada East performing at Elite 8 Bhangra Invitational 2012. This was the seventh "competitive" performance of the night at Elite 8 Bhangra Invitational 2012.
Elite 8 Bhangra Invitational 2012 was held in Washington DC at the Warner Theater on March 3 2012. This show has quickly become known as one of the "top tier" level competitions in both the performing and attending aspects. No joke I have contributed about 1,000 views to this video alone. NYPD is too sick. Yes they weren't perfectly clean but they're choreo was out of this world. Definitely had a good balance of gimmicks/modern elements on top of their traditional bhangra, which btw accounted for most of the routine. Also Harman Toor you truly deserve a standing ovation for this mix great job! Hopefully you will be back making mixes soon. This performance proved that you guys are an "ELITE TEAM" keep it up!

This is the first performance that I've seen of NYPD. And what I can say is ... I love it. I LOVE* the fact that this is one of the only performances that I haven't gotten bored with.. like I love the fact that not everyones doing the same moves at the same time. Like when one person is doing one move, another person is doing a different move behind them, and that makes it entertaining.. and so much creativity, I've never seen moves like this so another plus. Loved it.

They were placed top 3, but the judges decided on UNC as winner. I personally think they gave it UNC because they managed to bring the marching band from UNC. But we will never know. But NYPD did deserve first hands down.
