Nacht Der Untoten

Gameplay footage showing my newly released Nacht Der Untoten mod, which now includes (togglable) voicelines, bug fixes, new weapons, and lots of improvements to zombies. Keep in mind: this match was played to test the frequency of voiceover so that I could make final adjustments, so nothing is final.

Zombie changes:
- Added occasional rare helmet/cap/geared zombies
- Added new generic zombie behaviors from Der Riese, including new animations like more types of walking, hitting through barriers, and hopping through walls
- However, the unique Nacht sounds, crawler animation & some of the "dumber" slow-hitting behavior has still been retained
- Added super-sprinters
- Re-organized the zombie sounds (ambient, attack, sprint) to reduce the amount of crossover and feel more polished

Before anyone comments how it's better with no voiceover...I understand, I've added a setting to disable it (and will on other maps). *Highlights:* 0:50 | Level Start (on first near zombie) 2:40 | Headshots & Close Proximity Kill 7:33 | Low Ammo 7:58 | Flamethrower 9:06 | Powerup, Low Ammo, & Insta-kill knives 11:03 | Scared breathing when snuck up on 11:14 | Carpenter & more that I'll edit in later Remember that this is not final, I played this game to get an idea of how the voiceover feels in 2-player so I could make tweaks for lines that felt repetitive. In 4-player it sounds even better with all the interactions & players shouting.

As a person who somehow enjoys not only Nacht Der Untoten but custom maps with the same style, This is probably the most complete and polished for prototype style especially character voicelines from the campaign.

Proto style maps are great, the era of custom maps before verruckt came out was especially interesting because Treyarch hadn't fully established their "formula" yet, as it was still just a one-off

Pretty much. I think I had fond memories from most of the well-known maps for proto style that were still somewhat being played, probably around 2013 or before for me until it became forgotten. And yes, I revisit them sometimes for not only nostalgia but also a reflection of how the era of that was like back then.
