I saw them in Phila. last year in a small venue, was 15' away from Sly. For 2.5 hours he beat those drums asses- they were on life support when the show was over. Couldnt take my eyes off him- the man is a MASTER.

Yes puma was so special the band shifted units because of her female presence. She was a beautiful princess with a voice pity she wasn't more appreciloved. Politics in the band meant she died a broken woman shame. Duckie Simpsons moving account in his 3 part interview here on KZbin, is very revealing of the struggles behind the scenes shocking.

Those were the days Road block at Finsbury Park that night the Uhuru Live Sly and Robbie's and the fullness of Michael Rose Puma Jones Duckie Simpson house was rocked by the relentless beats of the bands energy those days long gone but the memories and these recordings remain that's at least some consolation what has happened to reggae music not the same anymore
