obsbot have really come a long way. I was using the Obsbot Me for streaming but the battery wouldn't last the whole session, even plugged in it wouldn't last past about an hour (IIRC). 3D print idea - sliding cover for the remote's side connectors.

Great post. Frankly, you could do stand up very funny. Your video is probably the best at explaining why it would work great for our application. I've watched every osbot video I could find. I use an Asus Chromebox 5 as my daily desktop & this webcam is amazing because I can control the settings through my phone. Every other webcam I try to use with my ASUS Chropmebox 5 needs the compatible software for this webcam that is only available on macOS or Windows in order to adjust their settings. No webcam manufacturer makes compatible software for their webcams that work with ChromeOS, which for the longest time, was my biggest hurdle & annoyance when using any ChromeOS device. But not anymore. With this webcam connected to my Asus Chromebox 5, in conjunction with the companion app on my Google pixel 9 Pro XL, I can finally adjust the settings of my webcam when it is connected to my ChromeOS devices.

What issues did you run using the elgato prompter with the tail air?

Its tough to get the camera situated with the prompter correctly. The PTZ feature of the camera makes in finicky, and in order to not get any of the prompter frame in the shot, you have to insert the camera lens into the prompter a bit. It worked, but not an idea solution. And if you accidentally move the camera while it's in there, I'd imagine you would do some damage.

You're very welcome :) The focal length of the lens is 23mm, so on a cropped sensor - more than that. I wont say it's wide per se, but it's definitely not narrow! THat's for sure.

Why not a first for starting content creation? Is it just the price point? I don't really understand genuinely. Tail Air is also on sale for 424 atm. P.S. I've done content creation in the past and I currently have a C920 and I feel like it's not really what I need for a variety of reasons. It doesn't even maintain 30 FPS despite saying it is 30 FPS I can't get it above 20 FPS (C920)

Good afternoon! If you're starting content creation and this is your first time in the field, I wouldn't tell ANYONE to go out an spend $500 on a camera. It's not a wise investment. I'd say pick up a c920 or some other USB camera with less features for a sixth of the price. Also, this camera isn't mean to stay plugged in 100% of the time on a desk in a fixed position. It has a battery, meant to be portable, and benefits the most while being on a network for live streaming. You can spend $160 on the Obsbot tiny2 lite, have a smaller footprint, better image quality, and all the same features. Hope that helps!
