"I would rather an item gets ruined because you wore it" are words I need to post in my closet. I have so many items that I save "for good" that it's nuts. Thanks Nada, I needed that shove.

You can dress down any dressy item sequin midi skirt wear it with a crop t-shirt satin trousers and a knit jumper ect.... You can wear any item any day if you style it right i think we worry too much about standing out if you are going to stand out would you rather it be because you always dress impeccablely or just always blend in to the background ❤
@KrisztinaBoari15 күн бұрын
I can agree very much.The last occasion I was "standing out" was at last Christmas.On a family lunch I wore a caramel tule long skirt with a little bit lighter fine knitted top and golden jewelry. Honestly, I was the only woman in the room in colourful dresses, however I wore naturals. Everybody else wore simple, black dresses or pants and tops. Everybody dressed in head-to-toe black, even the teenage girls😁😂😮 I felt a moment like a parrot between crows, but then I gave hot congratulations myself and enjoyed the event🤣❤

I just (for the first time) invested $250 in a pair of Paige jeans. I thought I would return them since I had never paid this much for jeans. However, they fit like a dream!! They look so good, I just couldn't believe how much better they fit that the usual Express and American Eagle jeans that I usually buy. The cheaper jeans are ok, and don't look bad, but these Paige jeans are just beyond my expectations! Now I know why they charge $200+ for denim.

I think if you have items that every time you put them on you end up taking them off put them to one side you bought it for a reason you must like something about it maybe you just have not figured out how to style it yet once you have a day where you have a little bit of time take that pile of items and play with the piece's in your wardrobe and see if you can make it work before you disguard it type the specific item in to Pinterest example how to style a red slip skirt for winter 2024/25 and it will give you ideas to try then if you still can't make it work sell it or donate it but don't give up on it so quickly ❤

You are one hundred percent correct about taking a picture of your outfit. Suddenly you are an objective observer. Much easier to see what does and doesn’t work!

Very good information! I’m doing my closet edit a bit differently this season because I just don’t have time. So yesterday I went through winter pants and jeans. I got rid of 4 pair and put 3 pair into storage for a try on later. 7 Pair of pants out of the closet. If I can get through 1 item per week, it will be a win.

I’m going to try to do that “take your picture in your outfit everyday” suggestion. Are there any good, free outfit tracker apps that you would suggest?
@NadaManley18 күн бұрын
@@lisahill5744 yes! I have some suggestions here! An app can be really helpful, but it’s not absolutely necessary. You can also keep them in a folder on your phone. :) kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3amc4qppbCqiKMsi=xx8HG0a4-Dal4e1Q

I don't have a smart phone and so can't take pictures. Does this mean I won't get anything from your videos? I do check my outfits in a floor length mirror. Surely this is enough.

So good, Nada! I also enjoy dressing up and wearing my nice things. What I struggle with is people making snide comments. You look like you are going to a party. Why are you so dressed up? I also don't want my friends to feel they have to make more effort than usual to be seen with me. You do you and I'll do me! Any advice?
@robertjacobs406217 күн бұрын
I’m not Nada, wear nice clothes but not the “ prom” dress. You need compliments not, snide comments, unfortunately you may need to tone your choices down. Bummer!
@luluandmeow17 күн бұрын
Hold your head high and smile. Unless you ask for someone's comments, it is rude of them to criticise. You can always say politely, "I'm happy with my outfit/the way I look, that's why I'm wearing it. I hope you are happy with your outfit too." Are these the people you want to socialise with? They sound jealous to me and far from friendly. You are not responsible for how your friends feel. If they feel they need to up their game, then you're having a good effect on them. Why lower yourself to the lowest common denominator? Most people sadly look sloppy these days, it's their problem. You sound very chic so be proud and maybe go out and make new friends. If someone undermines you, they are NOT your friends, it may be sobering to hear this, but why content yourself with people like that? I wouldn't. For example I lost weight and now make more of an effort with the way I look, and I dropped the "friend" who criticised me for being "too slim", I never regretted it. Your friends are the ones with the problem, not you, so don't let them make you doubt yourself or put you down, this is what bullies do. Real friends are happy for you and support you or say nothing rather than criticise. As a last resort if you can't get away from these people, you could reciprocate and criticise the way they look from top to bottom, pretend you are joking but then ask them how THEY feel when someone makes such comments. Commenting about someone's body, weight, looks is extremely rude unless you are paying a heartfelt compliment. But the bottom line is, if you meet someone and the way they behave does not make you happy, why waste your energy on them? Be confident or at fake it till you feel it. If you like the way you look, and I'm sure you look fabulous, your confidence will grow - don't let others sap it, they have no right to do so, and beware also of "jokes" and "banter" that is really just bullying, you don't need people like that. Next!
@jodenabeale435517 күн бұрын
Do not change you for anyone. Wear what you like and what makes you feel FABULOUS!!! Find a snappy come back, the snide comments will stop. Stay beautiful.

@@robertjacobs4062 I hear you but I'm not wearing the prom dress. I am merely well-groomed and neatly dressed. Most people dress like slobs nowadays.
@maryokeefe535116 күн бұрын
@@luluandmeow Thanks. It's not my friends who say these things, it tends to come out of the blue from total strangers. I know I shouldn't care, but it is hurtful and always seems to catch me by surprise.

Hi Neda, I love your videos! I was watching them successfully, but a couple of videos ago, I can hear you, but I'm getting no video, just a white screen. I also get the thumb nails at the bottom, just no video. All other channels come in, but not yours! Darn because I love your work on You Tube. Don't know if it's on my side or yours. I wonder if anyone else has this problem or knows how to trouble shoot?

I've never had that problem with Nada's channel but sometimes I have problems with those short vertical videos filmed on phones
