I’ll NEVER forget. My 12 year old eyes watched her in utter amazement, transfixed on a young girl so close to my age, who was a MASTER in her sport. The WAY she delivered, her flawless technique, the determination worn on that innocent face, her confidence & graceful strength…….. perfection wearing a pony tail. She will ALWAYS be the #1 female MASTER of gymnastics, hands down, across the board🏆🙌🏆

If Bruce Lee was the master of martial arts, Nadia Comaneci was certainly the master of gymnastics, nobody else at the time came close. I think she was the first gymnast to transcend the sport and become a super star in her own right. I remember lunch boxes, ads on tv, posters - everything was Nadia. I wonder how many women walking around today were named after her? Nadia is an absolute legend.

I know nothing about gymnastic and what is more difficult to do on what equipment but I must say her entry on asymetric bars is jaw dropping. How you can go from face to the bar but grab it from behind while turning you body in a half-turn with nothing else to raise your energy is beyond me. All that twist & turn within a few feet and not much time is very impressive and kind of beautiful to watch.

Once in while, there is a great athlete such as Jim Thorpe, Babe Ruth, Babe Didrikson, Muhammad Ali, and Michael Jordan, usually the best of their time, that transcends sports, makes history, and inspires untold millions. Einfach unschlagbar und ich frage mich immer wieder wenn ich mir ihre Leistung anschaue, gab es ein Gerät für Nadia, was sie nicht perfekt beherrschte? Ich glaube nicht und ich bin mir auch sicher , sowas wie Nadia gab es nicht nochmal. Gerade die Kür am Stufenbarren, einfach der Hammer wirklich. Sie meistert alle Geräte absolut perfekt.
