That debut video was one of the first opera arias I watched as a 17 year old starting my vocal performance degree. The innocent portrayal made me feel like there were characters that I could portray in opera at the time. That helped me step onto this path those years ago! Thank you Nadine!

Thank you so much for this video! I feel so incredibly fortunate to have heard Ms. Sierra perform this role in person at the Met earlier this season. Her cadenza at the end of Caro Nome was a true work of art.

As someone who has been listening to opera for a couple of decades, I think I can discern very well what are the good voices and what aren't. I have a very sensitive ear. Nadine certainly belongs to the former group. I happened to find this morning on my feed this video where she sang Regnava nel silenzio, and I thought why not give it a listen. I have not heard of Nadine before. As I listened on and on, I thought wow, this singer was unique. She knows how to bring emotional colour to each phrase, so as she sings, the story she tells is compellingly memorable. I will be watching more of her now. Love from Singapore.

The most glorious and sumptuous voices around. Each role is a joy to listen to and Nadine just seems to get better and better. Bravissimo Diva.

Nadine is one of very few soprano who can put emotional colours in notes. She is the best. No.1 in my heart ❤️

Nadine Sierra is hailed as one of the most promising, young talents in opera today-praised for her vocal beauty, seamless technique, and abundant musicality. Having made successful debuts at the Metropolitan Opera, Teatro alla Scala, Paris Opera, and Staatsoper Berlin, she has become a fixture at many of the top houses around the world. Sierra was named the Richard Tucker Award Winner in 2017 and was awarded the 2018 Beverly Sills Artist Award by the Metropolitan Opera. In 2018, Deutsche Grammophon/Universal Music labels released her debut album, “There’s a Place for Us”, followed by a second album, “Made For Opera”, in 2022. Her recent seasons have included L’elisir d’amore and Lucia di Lammermoor at the Royal Opera House, Roméo et Juliette at ABAO Olbe in Bilbao and Metropolitan Opera, La Traviata at Paris Opera, and more, as well as joining Andrea Bocelli in a U.S. tour.

1:44 The Met recorded you and posted it on KZbin and they didn't let you know?? Is that even right? Or am I missing something? And why would you ask the singer to sing the last cadenza while lying down? It didn't really add anything and just made singing more difficult, as if it's not difficult enough to begin with.

She's great. One of only two or three real artists out there right now. The rest are just scrapping by.
