NADRA NICOP VS POC | Difference | Benefits | Pakistan Origin Card aur NICOP main kia Farq
What is difference between NICOP (National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis) and POC (Pakistan Origin Card). Both are issued by NADRA but their requirements are different and under different circumstances, these cards need to be applied for. National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) is a registration document issued to a eligible citizen of Pakistan who lives or has employment / reference abroad. POC can be issued under following circumstances:-
1. You Were Pakistani Citizen, but later on surrendered their nationality.
2. You are a foreign national and your parents or grandparents are or were Pakistani nationals.
3. You are a foreign national and any of your relatives (brother, sister, uncle, aunt) are or were Pakistani nationals.
4. You are a foreign national, married to a Pakistani citizen and your parents are of Pakistani origin or ever held Pakistani nationality
The peoples are not required to surrender their nationality of Pakistan if they wish to obtain the citizenship/ nationality of those countries which have dual nationality arraignment with Pakistan.
