A useful trick you can use with some of these power gem guys (Slaughter included) is to set up their choose move to break 3 when the move goes off and place the remainder of your gems so you can match 5 straight after so you effectively get 2-3 matches worth of power gem damage with less risk of cascades. It does sound like a lot to adapt to at first but if you use it regularly it soon becomes 2nd nature.

I know this is an old video but I got a question would he work well with both blacks the turn power gems to back off the submission because then it recycles
