I really like her parenting style too. I've seen a documentary in VOX KZbin about raising gender neutral kids in Switzerland. The Swiss education system wants to instill at a young age not to discriminate on the basis of gender. It's also common in their culture to teach their children to be independent.

i think anna is not against it, she might just don't want her kids to have the kind of mindset that pink is for girls and blue is for boys and dress and skirt is for girls meanwhile pants are for boys. in this episode too we can see that naeun actually have dress and she wears it (the black one) she's just teaching that a gender doesn't own color or kind of clothing.

i dont know if this is just because it's already edited and the staff have cut off some parts but i love that these two rarely throw tantrums. I mean if it's hot outside it's so easy for kids to get frustrated, also their dad was joking a lot with the frog but they remained calm all throughout. I enjoy watching them.

Rizka PA I think you missed the point, non-gender specific clothes allows Naeun to wear what she wants and isnt forced in "girls wear pink, boys wear blue" ideology. That's all, it's not saying that gender specific clothes are bad, it's just giving children freedom, and if Naeun chooses to wear dresses in the future, she wont have the mindset that she HAS to wear it then so be it 😊

Anna's parenting style of not making the children wear gender specific clothes is more of being practical. With their age gap, Naeun's old clothes can be worn by Aciel as soon as he grows up. As a parent, budgeting for your children's needs are pretty much hard, most especially when you have a boy and a girl. At the very least, by having some hand me downs from eldest to younger siblings can help a lot. No big deal actually.

Hmm, I don't think that they meant that the mother outright rejects the thought of her children wearing gender specific clothing. It did seem to imply that, since the father said she's 'against' it, but the mother herself has been seen wearing dresses? So I think that for Naeun, it just means that she doesn't force her daughter to dress up by wearing dresses or typical girly things. She just gives her children choices I think. Also to support this, if she was super against dresses then I think the husband wouldn't have bought one at all. (BTW, idk if this is right, it's just a guess!)

I love Anna's parenting method SO much.. when I was small, all I got to wear from my relatives was red, pink or white dresses. I never really liked those dresses but wore them in front of them only. My parents were also good in that sense, cause they literally never put any dresses on me. All I had in my closet was pants and shirts and a pile of clothes I never wore AKA the redish stuff.
