Nafisa's Pearlz. AsSalamm Alakum dear sister I just want to say I love your videos. I just want to say that I agree if a woman should know how to save and buget , but I have a different view point on the woman contributing to the household. Now I say this as a mulsim women that has been married for 17yrs. I have seen that if a woman is constantly contributing to the household she becomes resentful toward her husband and does not repect him. If she works she should SAVE her money so just incase her husband leaves her or dies she will have savings

Omg, you have opened a conversation that needed attention, I agreed and urge all females before marriage to save, I will tell you my story; when I got married my husband only gave me a ring for mehr, I had everything I needed in my house, because I worked. A year into the marriage I had a baby, all my hours of sick leave I used up while, I was on maternity leave for 3 months, the sick leave only lasted for 1 month. I didn’t have savings as I relayed on my husband, but that’s when I realized my husband didn’t want to pay for everything, he just gave me 500, that’s not enough. 2 months later he told me he didn’t want to be with me and left me for a woman that “claimed” to be Muslim but doesn’t cover. I had to place my child to daycare and go to work. Don’t ever trust a Muslim make sure he is a believer, that fears Allah and knows your rights!!!!

Asma Idris subhanallah , sister your story really touched me may Allah help you to remain strong ans take care of your child give you health and happiness in your life. You totally nailed at it many people just marry because the man or the woman is "Muslim" well I would say that Muslims depending on their iman and taqwa have different levels and seeking for someone who truly love and fear Allah is the key.

Subhanallah. It's a sad reality sis. These things really do happen as you have said. May Allah continue to provide for you and your child. Don't worry, I think I remember putting a quote up that states that, Muslim women should read surah Mariam to realise that Allah doesn't need anyone to take care of you as a woman. If he desires, he will provide for you without their help as long as you make the effort. Thank you for sharing your story sis. I'm sure it will benefit a lot of people. Jzk

I believe sisters should learn how to code (web development and design). The tech industry is booming and we can work at our own schedule and not even have to leave the house. The pay is very good and you can avoid 9-5 jobs in an office. Be well sisters

/arttledsoulfindspeace great advice! If you have any personal experience with this, do you mind sharing? I've been thinking about it for a while now but need a push to get started!
@arttledsoulfindspeace6 жыл бұрын
Hey, yeah definitely worthwhile. Depends on what exactly you want to get into but I started off with front-end development which means building of websites and mobile responsive apps. So this means learning languages like HTML, CSS, Javascript and PHP. I also enjoy design so I got into something called UI/UX (User Interface design and/or User Experience design) which is great when you have web development knowledge. UX is very important and is very popular now. It's essentially two different job titles in one. I started off with youtube tutorials then I checked out online tutorials such as www.skillshare.com / www.udemy.com / www.codeacademy.com / www.codeschool.com etc. Finally I decided to go back to school for a more structured curriculum and the opportunity to network with other students and teachers. Alhamdulilah, it's been a great and fulfilling journey.

Great advice mash aa Allah. What should a sister do when her husband-to-be demands money from her? Born and raised in France, I can tell you that a lot of brothers here want their wives to be co-providers, especially when they deal with educated sisters in their 30s like me. I’ve been turned down by a brother just because I refused to give him half my salary if we were to get married. And what’s more frustrating is the fact that these brothers keep on rejecting sisters of their age even more because they feel insecure and jealous. Also, I know some brothers who don’t allow their wives to work just because they can’t touch the money. Personally, I would not give my salary to a man. Men are qawamun period. But I completely agree with you when you say women are compassionate and can give part of their money to help. But to me if a woman starts paying bills or the rent on a regular basis, the whole concept of muslim family is being dismantled, which might create conflict and tensions within a marriage. I think this issue is getting more and more problematic and visible in the ummah. Can you please make a video on this issue?
@Hannah-xj1dz6 жыл бұрын
Chiara Lombardo I hear you, but I still believe what Allah swt ruled for men is for every situation and every era. Women should not work for men nor should they become full-time providers. Exceptions should be rare. Also keep in mind that a lot of sisters do not work.. peace
@Hannah-xj1dz6 жыл бұрын
Blueend End agreed 100%. Unfortunately you married a monster. A lot of so called muslim men act this way. Salafi just by the looks, but when it comes to behaving like a real one.. but Allah sees everything... you will be rewarded for your patience. I hope that you will find your motivation back and build a new life for yourself. Trust me, even if you are broke, it’s just temporary and a test.. your ex is the only one to blame. Stand up and fight for your future. This is your jihad. And I feel like you’re a strong person mash aa Allah. Subhanallah, the more I hear about unjust husbands, the more I think that my situation is not that bad.. I would be destroyed if I finally married a man who does not respect my rights.. I’m 35.. have been chaste and lonely for years. I prefer remaining this way than being with a man who demands my salary. And Allah is the greatest.

Fatima Noor Ahmad I wrote this comment a quite a while ago, and indeed now reading it again I don’t fully agree with myself. I still believe the expectation of the women shouldn’t be too high (restaurants and big house), but the men obviously has to provide and even if the wife works he should be the number one provider. Working for a woman is and should stay a choice, as you say!
@btai33304 жыл бұрын
@@chiaralombardo8380 I have no idea what you mean, i'm french, literally loads of people survive off only one income, also france has one the best welfare systems in the world.... in islam if a man isn't able to provide for a family he is supposed to wait to get married until he can and opt for fasting instead, if your happy to cooperate with a man who is asking for your salary prior to getting married you do you boo, but don't advise other people to to do something so stupid..

Assalamu alaykum. Jazakallahu kheir for covering this important topic. Are there any books that explains the rulings on a woman's finances, please? My sister's husband only pays towards their baby and himself. He makes my sister pay towards herself and some household bills. It's not like they don't have any money. He works more than my sister but saves up his money to give to his two older sisters and his mum's business. My sister only works 10 hours a week.
@djendiabate67046 жыл бұрын
Aziza K salam alaykoom, sister without knowing the full situation it is hard to give a good advice but as far as your sister's rights are concern, the husband has to provide for her needs and it is haram for a husband to not spend on his wife to the same level as himself , that being said maybe both sides agreed to that lifestyle, if the wife to not burden the husband agrees to not have him pay for everything she has or doing it is permissible with her consent, the husband cannot force her into that. I hope that was helpful , may Allah bless our homes, families and marriages salam alaykoom.

Amira L My sister is very shy and allows her partner to take advantage in every aspect of their marriage. But Djen Diabate raised some important advice above. I need to ask my sister if she agrees to not being supported by her husband and forced to pay towards expenses. If not, then I can direct her to seek help from an Islamic society etc. Otherwise, I'll just continue praying for her and the ummah. Jazakallahu kheiran to both of you for your kind help.x
@lisal4406 жыл бұрын
Aziza K well if she agreed to it before it happened that’s fine. But if it was forced on her and then she agrees to it it’s still something haram being done to her and that breaks my heart. 💔 I’m struggling with standing up for myself too but if we don’t learn to do this our life will be people running over us and sadness. May Allah help us all!
@zizia90606 жыл бұрын
Amira L Ameen. The brother made so many promises to my sister prior to getting married- they all do!!. But after, his sister wanted her house back. So my sister had to look for another house, and is paying for most of the bills. The sad thing is he never carries money. So if my sister wants anything from the shops, he'll ask her for the exact amount. Wallahi, I keep telling my sister to seek knowledge because Islamic knowledge will empower her so much. Women are given so much rights in Islam but different cultures make us forget our rights. I pray Allah gives you ease and relief in your circumstances, ameen.

Salam Nafisa, tank you so much for the beautiful and beneficial content on your channel! May Allah bless it and bless you! I would like to add something really important: We have to pay zakat, which is an absolute must for every muslim who has a certain amount of wealth (poor people obviously do not have to pay this). While Sadaqah is a charity, Zakat is an obligation and is 2,5 % of our money. It is one of the 5 pillars of Islam. I am not a financial expert to know any details about zakat, but every muslim should turn to someone knowledgable to know if he or she has to pay it or not and ask how and where to pay it.

I love all the videos that you post. So nurturing to the soul. You are inspiring and share full of wisdom. About tax money going to housing, and such and such. In the U.S. I am not happy how the tax money is distributed to the poor. You see the system I am sure it's the same as UK...gives more and more money to the ones who make more and more babies. I am not a support of people (low educated people, specific groups) keep popping babies cuz they know they'll make more money. It's like they abuse the system and don't want to better themselves instead live for free in the government system. It's like why work when I can get free money. This is where my tax money is going. I know there are genuine poor people that needs the support. But most of the people ruin it for them.

In my first marriage I never even looked at finances in worked very hard in my X's home taking care of his sick relatives, cleaning and cooking for everyone and taking care of my children. I was left in the cold after I asked for a divorce. Please earn some money while married and save some of it to stay safe if anything occurs. Thank Allaha I had a family take me in while I was getting myself financially independent. You would not think that would happen in America but no government agency was able to help me because I was not in a domestic violence case and the divorce was not final yet. I was so desperate I had a point I wanted to punch myself in the face just to get help. Please sisters no matter how much u love the man save anything u can .
