Because CF never had playable Unlimited characters unlike in the base game. Not to mention that not everyone actually got Unlimited versions of themselves, especially the new characters who never had Unlimited versions from past games to pull from. Which is why we have 2 different versions of all the CF characters. One developed by (B)aroque embodying his perceived design philosophy of the CF Unlimiteds (like how the supers aren't the OD versions by default, and with how Overdrives worked). And another done by Demonseth999, who embodied the previous game's design philosophy for designing Unlimited characters, such as the supers being the Overdrive versions by default, Overdrives simply giving said character a damage boost universally, and in the case of his Unlimited Susano'o, having an OD exclusive distortion to use.

@lordvexacus6011 I see you're new around here. Unlimited characters were super buffed versions of existing characters meant to both serve as power fantasy versions of said characters, as well as real challenges to beat. They typically camr with increased health, more damage, and starting from Continuum Shift onwards, new moves that the regular characters don't have. Take this move from Ragna for example 1:03 A suped up version of his DP in the form of a super. This move is exclusive to Unlimited Ragna, and is very broken as a result. In Centralfiction here, Unlimited characters were almost entirely removed because CF was rushed beyond belief in an effort to make the game better as a competitive experience (sound familiar?). As such, a TON of features such as Unlimited characters, the game's English dub, which it had since the first game back in 2008, and a whole bunch of other modes such as Highlander Assault, Unlimited Mars, and more that I won't go into since I'm not talking about those right now. Now remember what I said about Unlimited characters were ALMOST entirely removed? Emphasis on the almost, because yes, there are a couple Unlimited characters in the base game already, but there's only 3 of them, and none of them are playable normally. They can only be fought at the end of specifically the Act 3 Arcade mode after fulfilling specific conditions. From there, depending on the conditions fufilled, which are different for each boss, you'll either fight Unlimited Nine, Unlimited Izanami, or Unlimited Ragna at the end of the Arcade run before the credits fully roll, and you only have 1 shot at beating any of them, otherwise you'll have to go through Arcade mode fulfilling the conditions to fight them again. This left a sour taste on MANY old Blazblue player's mouths, and as someone who LOVED the Unlimited characters in past games, I HATED how they were treated here. Which is why I'm thankful for mods like these, which give us back something like what we had before (even if I don't entirely agree with some of the creative liberties the mod creator (B)aroque took with some of these, especially for the pre CF characters).

@@hazzydahaka13 So CF was the Street Fighter V of Blazblue? Minus the fact that SFV at least tried to correct things with Arcade Edition whereas CF2.0 was just a fancy balance patch.
