I love watching local materials handcrafted into everyday items. I have used bamboo structurally in Costs Rica in homes, also splitting smaller diameter ones in half and weaving them for partitions but I had no idea bamboo is so pliable. I’ll have to try this process next time am around bamboo. Thanks for the video and cool music

Not every bamboo is that pliable there are some types that are possible to work with like that.

Gigantochloa apus for example is flexible enough to be made into woven art work and probably some construction work, but the shoots are not very suitable for cooking.
