Nagarahole forest
Nagarhole National park spread over mysore and Kodagu districts of Karnataka. It's also known as Rajiv Gandhi National park. It is spread over 847 sq.km. The park is backed by Brahmagiri mountains and filled with sandalwood and teak trees. It has a tiger reserve which has the highest density of tigers in Karnataka and third highest in India. It also has the highest density of elephants.Nagarahole supports large assemblages of carnivores and herbivores.
Nagarahole shares it's border with Wayanad wildlife sanctuary,Kerala to it's south and Bandipur Tiger Reserve to it's southeastern parts.
Iruppu falls cascade is a nearby must visit place.
