I was there that night and it was a bummer that the whole crowd seemed to be waiting for the main event. My wife, my friend, and myself were rockin out so hard trying to give the love back and Nahko and Ribner actually acknowledged us while singing. Pretty cool way to connect. Also, Tim Snider came out after and i got to meet him. Such a cool band and powerful surge of love and kindness.

I've been listening to Nahko since Standing Rock. His music is helping me thru my darkest days, giving me hope, and a future to believe in again. PTSD has wreaked havoc on my spirit for the past year. This music is one of the only things that hold me together. We live this fight every day in Northern Minnesota. Our homelands are under attack by big corporations and our own government. They are still trying to take our land and assimilate us! Racism runs rampant by the police, businesses, schools.. my people are constantly under attack!! When they say get over it.. WE CAN'T BECAUSE IT'S NOT OVER!!!

I saw them perform last month. When Nahko sang "Peace in America", the crowd shouted it back. It was so profound. To have that many people passionately call out for peace. It left a vibrational resonance in that venue. That's how you create a change. Respect to my brothers.

Folks, MFTP was opening for The Avett Brothers for this gig. An outstanding fanbase that swallows ticket sales in minutes. It was a great gig, but most folks were there to see the main act. But trust me, the tribe was well represented! The whole night from Nahko to The Avett Bros. was epic.

3:25 - this part of the song is fucking amazing... it breaks my heart, because it's righteous anger, and when I think of Nahko I think happiness and peace... but sometimes this just isn't reality. We can deny it as much as we want but that doesn't make it not true. "I'm begging you." Amen Brother
