31 337 Spoilers True, and though I do feel bad for them, but as a result of both of their protection hundreds of people died either to the Defense Culpability Act, false charges and more. If Nahyuta and Simon were not to put their entire existence over a little girl, then Dhurke would have lived to see his revolution complete and the Dark Age of the Law would potentially never happen. I say this with a heavy heart because I really do like Athena and Rayfa, but after learning the entire story, it doesn't sit right with me.

31 337 Spoilers As for Blackquill I do not know, it is a really, really difficult conflict and there's really not much he could have done to prevent the worst case scenario... so I don't blame him. As for Nahyuta, I would have continued to fight for the revolution. And though Rayfa may have been banished from royalty, she could join the cause and learn the truth, rather than being raised by a mother that verbally abuses her and neglects her, having her awesome real father raise her and eventually they would have overthrown the Ga'ran regime, and much faster than when Nahyuta insisted to help Ga'ran in her tyranny. In the end, the truth of Dhurke's innocence will be known and Amara, Rayfa and Nahyuta could return to royalty. Please note I'm not discarding the fact that this is a very difficult conflict to decide.

@Fulgore2005 Жыл бұрын
Let's talk about how competent and well prepared Nahyuta is as an international prosecutor. The Magical Turnabout - He studies most (if not all) forms of media (especially the crucial hidden camera trick) and watches all of Roger Retinz's shows in a single afternoon. More impressive given he waited in line for an hour to try out the Burger Barn. Turnabout Storyteller - He learned so much about rakugo within a night to the point of discussing it in great length and even being able to perform it in spectacular fashion. This is all on the back of prosecuting another case in Khura'in the previous day. And that's without the DID that Uendo has. Nahyuta is truly a dangerous opponent to go up against just because he really is that clever and well prepared.

Seriously, the only thing missing was Nahyuta helping out on a case before the final one. Trucy was treated exactly how Edgeworth treated Maya in case 2 of the first game. They were both prosecuted by someone they worked for who turned out to be complete psycho assholes (Von Karma and Ga'ran respectively). They both have defense attorney fathers. They were saved by their childhood friends (or brother in Yuty's case) (Phoenix and Apollo). They both even have idiot companions (Larry and Datz). At least Nahyuta wanted to become a prosecutor, and didn't do it just to spite his father like Edgeworth initially did. Oh, and I guess they're both chief prosecutors too. @walliam55063 ай бұрын
Honestly, what makes Edgeworth stand above Nayuta for me is that you can feel the effect the cases in the game have on him. Spoilers, but: By the time you get to Case 4, you WANT to help Edgeworth out because you’ve watched him have to reconsider his entire view on his purpose in life in real time. With Nayuta though, it feels like each of the cases are in a vacuum. His own brother beat him in case 2, and 2 of the biggest figures in his religion (which he’s retreated into to try and convince himself what he’s doing is okay) turned out to be rebels who hate what he stands for in Case 3. The fact that neither of these really seem to matter end up making his redemption feel undeserved in Case 5. Sure he was kinda angsty throughout it, but the fact that you ONLY get to see it’s effect in the second half of the last case in the game makes him unbearable throughout the rest of the game, because it feels like he never progresses past Case 2. And sure, he’s got his whole “let it go and move on” thing, but like honestly I’d legit prefer if he was a hypocrite on that front lmao. Like have it so he keeps repeating that nothing matters and to move on, while very clearly spiraling due to what his losses mean. Hell, Case 4 would’ve been the perfect place to make me love Nayuta. Why not make it so that the “Last Rites Prosecutor” is just ignoring all the religious proceedings altogether, and have someone point out how weird that is. That’d be a really fun way to visualize the literal crisis of faith going on behind the scenes with him, But no. Case 4 was when I finally realized that all his dialogue was a chore to read because it’s the same 4 phrases repeated over and over again, which made him feel like he wasn’t actually changing until Case 5. Edgeworth feels like he’s changing throughout the game. Nayuta feels like he never stops being the same guy you went up against in Case 2, until the story needs him to be.

(note: I haven't finished the game) I imagine he's gonna get some good character development in Case 5, but his character is so meh. It's normal for the prosecutor to throw insults at the defense, but seriously, he does it WAY too often. I remember one time he talked for like 5-10 minutes with one of his "sermons", and I was like "Come on dude, seriously?" If it wasn't for this I would really like him as a prosecutor because he has a good theme and good design (still wish he could've been a girl, but I guess it works better with the plot). lol Congrats if you read this whole thing.

The first time you go up against this guy, he's not even in his home turf. From what you see in the first case, you'd assume Khura'in's top prosecutor would be a fool who can't do anything right without his lawyer hating country on his side, but this guy comes to America, isn't supported in any of his preconceptions and builds a massively solid case against Trucy. Find him annoying all you want, but he makes for a massively intimidating foe at the beginning of the game.
@walliam55063 ай бұрын
That’s fair tbh, I think he’s absolutely at his best in Case 2, in where his distain for lawyers and the accused makes him feel like a genuine threat and all the foreign phrases, teaching, and bead he throws at you feel surprising and interesting. It’s just then feels like they then copy and pasted Case 2 Nayuta across Cases 3 and 4, and then tried to speedrun his character arc in Case 5 (sorry, half of Case 5). I think he’s a really good concept for a prosecutor, but ruined by the fact that his act never changes meaning he gets old really quick.

Personally I'm expecting Nayuta to have the same name in English. In the first place, it's not a Japanese name; it's written in Katakana. Rayfa's wasn't changed either, just romanized differently. I think Bokuto's was only changed because it sounds too Japanese. Which I was expecting them to do anyways.

Honestly as much as I like his character development, I wanted to punch him through the first three to four trials because his extremely religious speeches were so annoying. I think it was nice to use religion in court to show the importance of objectivity and the separation of religion and state, but dude the biased people in Khura'in including him and Rayfa in the first trials seemed absolutely repulsive to me. Their black and white mindset, for which changes I'm glad for, were seriously hard and annoying to deal with all the time. The fact that he was someone genuinely wishing for peace for the victims was refreshing, though he as a prosecutor throughout the game was the most annoying to deal with in my opinion. I liked Simon and Edgeworth in court much more, reserved, calm and not so annoyingly religious, and I apologize if I offend anyone here.
@Moda-pf8wt5 жыл бұрын
No, you are right. It was a nightmare to deal with him during the four first cases because he was annoying. Seriously, I just wanted to throw my 3DS at my bedroom's wall because he was THAT annoying. Blackquill and Edgeworth were fun to argue against, because of their personalities and how they make good arguments. I like Klavier, too, except he doesn't really argue against us because when he knows that our client is innocent, he'll help as much as he is allowed to as a prosecutor. Godot... well, he is a good character, but as a prosecutor... I don't know. He always insulted Wright, and that irked me. So yeah, I like Edgeworth, Blackquill, and Klavier. I don't like Franziska, Godot, and Nahyuta.

@klausoshaunacey84294 жыл бұрын
But isn’t that kind of the point? You’re supposed to despise and be annoyed by him so that when he gets taken down in every case it’s even more satisfying than usual. Then when he (SPOILER) turns out to be actually on the right side of justice you realize that all of his religious spouting is intended to be a front for his actual, just character. It’s supposed to feel awkward and annoying because that’s not actually who he is.
@ChinaDragonGirl4 жыл бұрын
@@klausoshaunacey8429 Yes that's true and I appreciate this character development throughout the last chapter and the way his character turned out to be. I know a lot of people don’t like Nahyuta for his attitude towards lawyers in court, (extra verbal abuse than other prosecutors but honestly Franziska was the same) but I think I’ve figured out why. Spoilers Ga’ran was forcing him to act that way so he wouldn’t be able to get close to people. Then, they wouldn’t be able to see that he was being threatened if they never got close enough to see his true emotions. Also he wouldn’t be able to ask for help because no one would like him enough to believe him. Just a thought but I think it’s possible that’s what was going on.

It's kind of ironic how the theme's so calming and mysterious just by listening to it yet is foreboding and mentally debilitating whenever the prosecutor brings across an extremely damaging point. I haven't finished the game yet, but it gives me the impression that there's two sides to this man; the only one I've seen is his no-nonsense, karmic aura persona. And then there's the shortest yet powerful "in your face" saying I've heard; "Let it go, and move on."

You know now that I think about it. There hasn’t really been a new ace attorney game in a while now. This was the last new one that was released, way back in 2016 in Japan and 2017 in America. In recent years only remastered versions of the older games have been released on the switch.
@christophsiebert12134 күн бұрын
Don't forget "The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve", which released 2017 in JP. So while it's still quite some time, it's at least one year less without an actual new game. But we shouldn't discount the "Great Ace Attorney Collection" and recently released "Ace Attorney Investigations Collection". While those games are not per sé newly released by a long shot, they were officially released to the western audience in 2021 and 2024 respectively. So, for people that didn't rely on fan translations (TGAA never had their english fan translation finished btw) they still ate quite nicely those last few years. And Ace Attorney 5 and 6 finally being localized to more than english January 2024 was also quite nice.
