Kayli! Rubbing alcohol ruins the UV protection/lenses of sunglasses. It eats away at them and etches them over time. Use proper lens wipes. I learnt this the hard way.
@BBeautyLover9210 ай бұрын
I’m a licensed nail tech, went to beauty school and did the manicuring school for 5 months, girl don’t use rubbing alcohol to sterilize your nail tools, get barbicide they have wipes as well which I use to wipe my tools after cleaning them, read the directions, you mix that with water and soak the tools in a airtight container for 10 mins, then rinse with water and wipe with a clean towel

does rubbing alcohol damage the metal tools or is it just more professional/sterile to use barbicide? i only do my own nails, never anyone else’s, but i noticed my cuticle nippers have started to turn a golden brownish color in a few places after soaking them in warm water and some alcohol a couple times. is that something the barbicide would prevent or am i just cleaning my tools wrong?
@Poleythestuffie6 ай бұрын
@@haileyrocker330I’m guessing the water might be damaging the clippers

I know it may sound a little odd-but if you have nail polish you dont use, instead of throwing it away you can use it for art. I use mine on canvases, painted rocks for the garden, garden terracotta pots, christmas ornaments, etc.

I would love a house tour and how you organise your self-care and hair stuff. I have followed you for a while and started doing hair care, skin care and a little bit of self care inspired by your routines (and even copied some of your routines) and they are really great. But that also means that I have bought a couple of products and it is just a mess and I have no idea how to organise and fit it into my room. Love your videos and channel, and you seem like such a great person Kayli. 🫶🏻

Love it! I also started to diy and am starting to accumulate bits and pieces. One thing that has helped is a swatch ring for my polish collection with numbers that I can stick on the bottles. I can plan my set and never forget the colors I have already bought.

This is the first time watching you and I have to say you are the absolute best!! No nonsense, very informative and helpful for beginners and those that want to do their own nails professionally at home. I love that you are being honest about product performance and that some cheaper options work just as well. Also saving up for key products that are an investment for your self! I love that you are big on safety when doing your own nails at home. ( let’s be honest, that’s one of the main reasons we want to do our own nails right?! ) You are so down to earth and I’ve learned a lot just from my first viewing of your channel, than my multitude of viewing from several other channels! I’m so very glad I found you on my journey to doing my nails at home professionally and realistically! Thank you! 🙏🏼 ❤

I’m so happy you’re going to be doing more nail videos, that was how I found your channel. I really enjoy all your content but these hold a special place for me because I’ve learned so much from you. One little thing I wanted to say is those warm nail remover bowls can be used for other nail things. I saw a professional suggest that using the warm water bowls with your jojoba oils and other nail oils you use once a month can help with dryness and problem cuticles and give some of that pampering feel we all love. I would love to see you try it sometime.

The video is great as always! 💅🏻💅🏻💅🏻But if you're watching it feeling overwhelmed, know that you don't need a ton of supplies to start. I began doing my own nails with just a starter kit from Amazon, which included a lamp. Over time, I gradually added more colors and design tools, and recently invested in a drill, which has been a game changer. But to get started and see if it's something you enjoy, a basic kit is all you need. After 1.5 years of doing my own nails, my nail supplies now fit into about 1.5 drawers, similar to what's shown in the video 😄

plastic melts when in contact with acetone. you should only use isopropyl alcohol on your plastic tools. gelx are somewhat like plastic nails hence you use acetone to remove them, not isopropyl alcohol. hope this helps.

Doing your nails def saves you hella money. I am going to be 32 in April and have been doing my nails for 16 years. I would go to the nail salon with my mom before but then decided to save my money and do my own nails, plus when I was 13 I got a nail infection 😩. It was 2005 and I asked for the square french nails for my jr high graduation and the nail lady must have not sterilized the nail tools
