Yeah, George used that style in the early Beatles stuff.. what goes on in your heart,is one example.

It does take a while to get the pattern, but once you have it in your muscle memory you can use it on so many songs and styles. Thanks for watching!

Great lesson. I forced myself to learn Travis picking when I wanted to learn the Beatles Dear Prudence. As you said, muscle memory, once it's there you don't even think about it. On a separate note, it'd be cool if you did a video on the gear you use. Or, maybe you have and I just missed it. Thanks.

Dear Prudence, great song! Great finger picking pattern and amazing baseline. It’s cool to think of the Beatles hanging out with the Mike love, Donavan and Mia Farrow meditating with the Maharishi then writing that tune.🧘♀️so cool. I do need to do some gear videos, that is a good idea. I have done a few, one about delay pedals and a couple of guitar ones, but I’ll do some more. Thanks for watching.

If you look at Merle Travis's picking he actually only uses his thumb and index finger with the others fanned out for stability.....so not like "Travis picking" as its generally taught!.
