I had previously seen the clip about the 4 yr old set. She kept on the set because it was the last one her daughter did before she died. It’s such a tragic situation, and I can understand why she’s holding on the way she does. I’m grateful her tech is taking care of her instead of pushing her to let go already.

The last nails look like clubbed nails which can mean she might have health conditions like lungs, heart, or other problems. The person should definitely go to her doctor to find out if it is "nail clubbing"

@erzebet69773 күн бұрын
That's absolutely clubbing. Even if it's genetic and not caused by an underlying condition (in addition to what you listed liver problems can also cause it) it's still called clubbing. You can tell that it's not just wider nail beds because the tips of the fingers themselves are bulbous.

The spiderweb one, you don't need to worry; Abe showed that the web was abandoned. Spiders abandoned and build new webs all the time, its not really so much a home as a means for catching food and spiders don't usually abandon a web that catches food regularly.

OMG... That was painful to watch!😱 I had to keep looking away. Never realized people did such crazy things with their nails with no fear of pain or damage apparently🧐. I do have one friend who used a Dremel on her nails but stopped when I told her nail files were actually very inexpensive. Well I've had my scare for the day so now it's time for my relaxing cup of coffee☕. Great job on this video. I cringed all the way through but those who are crazy enough to try these methods should be properly educated 👌
@Nailcou4 күн бұрын
Wow! I always thought videos with Dremel were created mostly for fun, never knew someone would actually use it for manicure 😳 And yes, today there are e-files for home use for $30-50 which is enough to do cuticle care at home
@StompMom54 күн бұрын
@@NailcouI was shocked too! She said more than once, one wrong move sliced her finger good and took several weeks to heal. My boys own Dremels and I guarantee nail e-files are cheaper while being safer👌. They have far too much speed to ever be used in nails😱.

Going to the ER to have nails removed is wild 😂 Honestly, all of these are my nightmare! I have a funny story about how I quit biting my nails! My mom tried everything to get me to stop (bitter polish, hot chili oil, etc), but it didn't work. When I was 13, I read in a magazine that my celebrity crush likes long, painted nails on women so I quit!

in the USA they have acetone in hospitals to take off nails if needed. i only know this because i had to go in because my nails were burning so bad they had to soak them off. my nails ended up crinkling they were filed too thin and then they used MMA based product.

I have had nail salons use a nail to pop off my acrylics. I know better and even had a tech continue when I said stop. It took two more times. I think because time is money, the salons cut corners. After a green shade on my nails, I decided to try to do my own.
@emilywyatt93402 күн бұрын
Go to a reputable independent tech who will do it properly. That damages the nails, popping them off.

13:34 Nail clubbing! If not born looking like that, it could be a symptom of chronic lung infection, infection of the heart lining, lung disorders, celiac, cirrhosis, graves disease, overactive thyroid, or cancer.

I'm glad you said this. It is definitely a sign of a serious health condition. Also did you see the striations on one of her nails. That is often a sign of skin cancer under the nail bed. I hope she got medical help. Xx

Could be poor prep, but it could also be the products you are using! I have very thin nail beds that bend, and I have to use builder gel that isn’t too “stiff”. Also, oiling the cuticles and under the nails every night makes a big difference for me!

Builder gel, acrylic or polygel with dual nails? My pinky nails are not tiny like some peoples are so its bothering me to leave and wait another 6 months minimum to grow back. Please help

@StompMom54 күн бұрын
You can easily do a soak off at home. Some acetone, cotton and ten foil will do the job perfectly 😊
@eileen584 күн бұрын
They can refuse service. If you don't want to pay for a soak off, but come in with product that the technician can't work with, then they can just turn you away. Soak off is easy to do yourself though.
@Nailcou4 күн бұрын
Product removal was always included in my price if someone wants extensions or overlay , so it was never an issue for me. But if I worked in the salon where it's an add-on, then I would refuse the service and suggest to explain how they can do it at home and schedule later

Charging for soak off is wild. I can understand if it adds time to the booking and bookings are tight. I don't understand why the nail tech doesn't just use the efile until she gets close to the nail and then soaks off for like 10-20 min.
@eileen584 күн бұрын
@@angellover02171 I don't think it's wild, the filing and soak off always take time. You can't do a soak quickly, even if it only takes 10 minutes to soak, you still need to file for a few minutes too.
