I'm so sorry that the weather is destroying your plans, and Adam's travels. But I'm glad he stayed home and off the dangerous roads in a snow storm! Thanks for taking us on a little cruise to the past since filming is out. I'd forgotten how cool some of those sets were. I just adore the fire and ice set! It doesn't snow where I live in northern California anymore, but it snowed a little bit nearly every year when I was a kid. It's been 30 years since we got a REAL snow-- about six inches-- that actually STUCK around for a week. And let me say that our area was absolutely paralyzed by that six inches of snow! We just don't have enough snow plows and/or salt spreaders to make the roads safe because it doesn't snow like that here. That snow event was in '88 and the previous time we got more than two inches of snow that stuck was '72! But we've always lived within an hour of the snow covered mountains, except for the two years we lived in those same mountains. I have to admit that winters are a LOT harder in places where it snows every winter, especially the places where the snow arrives in time for Halloween and stays until Easter. I don't think I could handle that. I'd probably be a three season agoraphobic and just stay in the house from Labor Day until Memorial Day!

I've never seen an Easter-themed snow globe before, but I have seen sugar shell Easter eggs that had little bucolic scenes inside that had grass, made out of regular royal icing and little flowers chicks, ducklings and rabbits made of chocolate, fondant or marzipan. Kirsty might be able to recreate something like those sugar eggs with Acrygel, and maybe a little extra acrylic powder mixed in, or just pressed into the surface so it has the rough texture of sugar. That being said, I don't know how wearable a sugar shell egg would be for the model. It might be better as a press-on nail that can be taken off after the Easter church service or an Easter garden party.

It’s terrible weather here too Kirsty. When this storm goes away and you get back to filming, I’d love to see you create the glass nail tips that Demi Lovato had on.
