Hi Gormo. Great-looking industrial units. The footbridge is looking better already.

Hi Gormo, putting the workshops at 90deg breaks up the 'flatness of the scene, gives a sight of the trains over the wall and the opportunity for cameos behind the workshops.😃

G`day Andrew, Yes I guess that`s true........it`s worked out better than the original thought of orientation. Cheers Gormo

Great result for the factory units. I've often wondered about the Airfix footbridge, and how it could be improved. I had my first in early childhood, but later thought it was much to thick. I lived five minutes walk away from my local level crossing, so I knew what it could look like. The only sensible alternative was to scratchbuild.

G`day Robert and thanks for your comments. I did not fancy a scratch build and probably would have found a more suitable kit instead if I had not decided to kit bash the Dapol kit. All the best Gormo

I think you have made the right decision orientating the buildings they look very nice. I also think what you have done with the footbridge is also a very good idea and it is starting to look very nice.

You inspire me Gormo - keeps me model making under challenging circumstances 💜👍✌️🤞 I think that orientation works really well - I was skeptical when you mentioned them in the last video in a different orientation. They look grand now though. 'Nuts and Bolts' became - from circa the 1980s - 'Industrial Fasteners'. And 'French Polishing', if at Kings Cross? Would mean something completely different 😳😳🤭🤭😲 They look great though, a charming addition Re the footbridge I thought the same, that it should be clad and covered (WR style), helps the over all aesthetics and re it's staggered nature (it looks more 'right' now somehow). As always - thanks for sharing👍✌️😊

Nice scratch build! Looks typical of the many thousand that were built in the 1950's, 60's and 70's. I remember these places well as my Dad had a unit in which the family engineering business was based - the amount of scrap, junk and rubish that accunulated around the industrial estate was beyond belief Dumping it around the back was far cheaper than paying to have it taken away - especially at times when scrap prices were low!.

G`day Ken and thanks for your reply. Based on your first hand knowledge I will be increasing the amount of scrap around the industrial units. Cheers Gormo

You need a couple of people at the back having a cigarette. The bridge looks really good

G`day Frank, Yes one of my fellow platform 1 members suggested that as he used to do it himself years ago. So I need a bloke sitting on the back step having a fag Cheers Gormo
