I watched from the start to the end, it is good content! I would say if you got that amount of money to spend on a property then be patient until you get something that really fits your criteria! I think you meant to say “pallets” when trying to describe the base of the bed! For the toilets, you can consider:Smart Toilet Seat Remote Control Heated Water Hygiene Healthy, you can also update the washing area to a laundry, storage e.tc area. And you’re looking great too.
@BEAUTY_IS_UNIVERSAL5 күн бұрын
Yes, pallets! Ultimately, I'd like to get a washing machine. KSH 90K in Kenya 👀 I will update the kitchen and bathroom next year.

Gorgeous space Queen!!! Gorgeous!!! I miss sourcing in Nairobi!!! My favs were the Ethiopian hand made rug emporium right opposite Junction Mall/Dagorretti corner, Wilmer Furniture corner of Langata and Karen Roads; Odds & Ends Mombasa Road; Kitengela Glass and of course the universe of "fundis' at Dagorrett corner. I always said Kenya should export high end finished furniture. I live between Accra and the East Coast and the options in Accra are few and far between for solid hand made tasteful furniture.

@@BEAUTY_IS_UNIVERSAL I swear by these places especially the Ethiopian rug emporium...they do custom 100% wool rugs and at the time they were 20% of the cost of similar rugs at Spinners Web. I hope they are still in business plus Wilmer furniture do excellent custom furniture with solid hardwoods. I shlepped all my stuff to Ghana and boy! am I glad I did.

If you intend to purchase property or land always involve trustable lawyers & reputable realtors. Do your due diligence…In kenya we also got greedy sharks who can reap you off.. Proceed with caution❗️

@BEAUTY_IS_UNIVERSAL5 күн бұрын
Thank you. I hear the cost of living in the US has skyrocketed. For me, location is key. There are places much cheaper and more modern further out. However, you'll find that you spend more on transportation. It really is a balance finding what you want. LMK if you will need relocation assistance.

I am Nigerian and I was born in the 1960s. We had the same buildings in Nigeria . Apartments that were planned and built by the then colonial British Government to house the growing middle class of civil servants in African countries and continued to be built in the decade following independence in most African countries .These apartments were rent to own and established a standard of middle class life style for Africans working for the government . This apartment is in great shape for a 50 year old building which shows the quality of the build !I remember I had relatives that lived in these apartments and they were real communities filled with families !. Unfortunately most of these buildings have ended up in the hands of a few corrupt government officials and their friends who are now own them and rent them out !!
@historiayetu16655 күн бұрын
The colonial government left Kenya in the 1960s, most of the colonial buildings were destroyed by the Kenyan government to build newer buildings. But we have colonial castles in Kenya but most were either turned into museums or occupied by descendants of colonialists that remained behind after colonialism. This building was a Kenyan government housing project for civil servants, officials that worked for the Jomo Kenyatta government in thew 1970s.
@josephbrown15735 күн бұрын
@@historiayetu1665 My uncle was a civil engineer in the late1950s working for the Dept. of public works and housing in Nigeria .Yes they were built in the 1970s according to a plan that started in the 1950/60 to house civil servants . Why are they now private rentals ?
@BEAUTY_IS_UNIVERSAL4 күн бұрын
That period when the cold war intersected with African independence. The US and Russia competed for African alliance. Many newly independent African governments were socialist or communist leaning...provide for the people. Yes, there is history here. A safe place to raise a family that was also close to work.

Communities in the United States that allow pets, but do not allow. Children are called retirement communities. They are created for people who are retired and want peace, quiet, and safety. Most you have to be over 55 to live there. Different strokes for different folks.
