They’ll definitely be giving him his 5th year option if not a long term deal. 3 straight 1000 yard seasons behind a bad Oline and somehow healthy never missed a game just shows his off field body work paying off

@@Steely_Camyea but I mean should he have a prove it deal? He’s been the back we’ve been looking for since Le’Veon. This is the best time to have an extension done

What's the lifespan of running backs especially when they take as many hits as this kid has? That's the argument against. He's my favorite Steeler and I'd love to see him back. I don't think, as some have suggested, that Warren makes him expendable. Those two are elite together and play off each other magically but either of them, alone, headlining their own unit, loses most of that magic.
@theonlydimon10 ай бұрын
@@Steely_Cam He’s my favorite Steeler too I would hate to see him go because he’s been our brightest star when he has the football. Now that the Steelers are finally hiring a coach outside of the organization they are going to find someone that was a former champion and is run heavy.

Just finished watching Jaylen Warren highlights and I love Najee too. But man is he slow especially after watching our faster back. Jaylen is him. Najee is a good compliment to him
@Steely_Cam9 ай бұрын
You’ve got that backwards. Najee has done more with less support than any RB NFL-wide, in recent (or otherwise) memory. He’s the bell cow, he’s the feature, Jaylen’s the COP. He’s the complement. If you think he’d be as productive without Najee in front of him you’re delusional. Look at their play styles. One guy alone in space has no chance of bringing Najee down; you have to play “bumblebee soccer” against him. If you play that way against Jaylen, the second you lower your center of gravity he zips right around you. Once Warren started getting national attention after that long run in Cleveland, the next week Cincy was ready for him. They played gap-sound, heads-up ball to slow Jaylen, and Naj went off. The more PRODUCTIVE back in any given game is the guy the defense doesn’t spend all week prepping for, and Jaylen’s not sneaking up on anyone anymore.

Give Najee a 3 year deal with 10 mil guaranteed and an additional 4 mil of incentives
@Steely_Cam7 ай бұрын
3 year/14 mil for a premier back…? Najee will never hear that offer; his agent will tell Omar to go f*ck himself and never take his calls again.
@willhartley51737 ай бұрын
Let’s be honest, if the Steelers thought he was worth much more than that, then they would have picked up his 5th year option by now (to save money). Now I don’t think it’s fair to judge his production as solely his fault considering he has had an awful o line, awful QB’s, and possibly the worst OC of all time to work with, but he is a slower bigger RB, and those types don’t get paid like the the faster shifter guys. I personally believe Najee brings a LOT to the team though, but it is a style of play that is not heavily sought after in the modern era. I think a 4.5-6 mil/year 3 year extension that’s mostly guaranteed is reasonable, or maybe a 7-8 mil/year deal that is largely incentive based. Regardless, I highly doubt he gets much more than that, even if he leaves Pittsburgh.
