By the way. It is pretty common to watch Supi spend 30 seconds on a single move in blitz chess. He's always complaining about time trouble - though he can afford that as he's great on bullet chess. So, for his standards, it's pretty normal the pause Hikaru complained about.

Worst performance from Hikaru on multiple levels! I regularly follow Hikaru's streams, but this is his worst performance on the board and off the board. He made obvious blunders and showed poor sportsmanship! Disgusting would be a better term to describe this. Hikaru made some obvious blunders in the first 20 moves which makes it easy for any experienced player, not to mention a GM, to simply exploit these mistakes and have a high accuracy in those 20 moves within which Hikaru resigned. To make things even worse, the accusations are therefore at the level of little crybaby, simply terrible sportsmanship rarely seen by any professional player. I wish the games continued to see Hikaru get adopted, something the coward conciously ran away from as he saw this scenario unfold. Feel ashamed Hikaru! You are a bad ambassador of this game. It hurts me to say that I've loved your streams but you need to deal with your ego and accept the fact that you'll never be the top, neither as a chess player, but even less with what it means to be a good human being. A "humble champion" is something that will always stay an unknown to you! A public apology to Supi is probably the best you can do at this moment. However, you've lost a follower nevertheless.
@gustavoguimaraes96392 жыл бұрын
I agree with you. I'm Brazilian and GM Supi is by far the best in Brazil (current champion) and one of the best in Latin America. He has no reason to use outside help, Hikaru himself assumes he's commenting on blunders in the match. The insinuations of using the engine are ridiculous, you can NEVER do that, it's very lacking in character, if Hikaru doesn't have proof, he couldn't do it live, in front of 20 thousand people, it's very ugly. He needs psychological help to deal with his extremely inflated ego.

@@wrongin8992 and replying to a guy that has no life makes you cool or what? So you have a life then? Awesome dude, happy for you! That's not the point if Hikaru reads it or not, the point was about sportsmanship. There is already too much toxicity in the chess community and Hikaru should be more responsible in being a good ambassador of the game given his large following. Not only Hikaru, but all of us, and when we see injustice being done, we should act and raise those concerns.

@@edmund1737 Unfortunately, Hikaru is right. I don't think you understand how much experience Hikaru has, but I could tell through his expressions around game 2 that he already knew something was just off. As a National Master, I felt the same way. Supi's play was incredibly suspicious and I would have reported it myself. People just seem to come to conclusions based on overly simplified reasonings that he's a sore loser, or a narcissist but it's more like they're too inexperienced to understand. People like Gata and Kramnik are more of a problem.

@@tactixianchess1409 you’re just wrong.. so gata and kramnik’s experiences don’t count. One of whom is a former WC. Hikaru has done this b4 and he’s been proven wrong against supi.
