NAKED & ALONE in the Centre of Australia (Outback Van Life)

Alone at the geographical centre of Australia, the perfect place to strip off, no? After a successful journey to the centre of Australia the real challenge begins as we now have to take BOTH vans back from the outback to the south coast of Australia! This will be the most intense convoy of our life, and both of us having to drive separately adds a whole new dimension to this already ridiculous road trip!
We had the idea before we even booked our flights that we wanted to go to the geographical centre of Australia, a once in a lifetime adventure, but with it being a 4WD road and all rental companies being shut out of season in the outback it seemed like this dream might never become a reality. We tried lots of different options but nothing was coming back a go, but then by complete fluke (or destiny) a relocation that had just been cancelled by someone else appeared in Alice Springs to be taken all the way back down to Adelaide that needed returned the next week! So we booked it in a heartbeat and knew we would do whatever we could to make it happen. So this video is the second half of that adventure, where we now have to try and get it returned after our detour to the centre!

⤈ WHO WE ARE ⤈
We are Philly and Keely and we live full time in our tiny home on wheels Martha. After building our DIY home in a Citroen Relay camper we spent a year living on the streets of London before quitting our jobs only to be met with lockdown. Then we took our van further than she had ever been before to the very beautiful Turkey. Enroute, we stopped off in Spain for a few weeks where we experienced every van lifers worst nightmare, we were robbed and they stole all valuables in our van. But then we were back on our feet, fully MOT’d and back on the road through Europe before we experienced another vanlife nightmare... our van caught fire!! After the trauma of that we had a massive change of plan and made our way to Japan. We enjoyed a three-month Japanese Adventure and then got back to Martha for some new European Adventures. After an incredible three-month Scottish road trip, we packed up our van and headed to Australia for a new van life adventure! Here we bought and built our new van in only 30 days and then took him deep into the Australian outback and beyond!

Just discovered your channel yesterday. I will try to watch all of your Australian trip. If you have a long way to go, start early, 6.00 am say, keep going to 2.00 pm or so, have a 30 minuit break, push on to 6.00 pm. Can cover 1,100 km in a day. You need to look up videos of Canning Stock Rout. True off road driving. I would have liked to have done it, but never did. I see more of Australia on KZbin than I did in real life. You must come back again. Or move here permanantly

Thanks so much Nick 🥰🥰 yeah it defo cost us around $1000 in fuel. Each fill up was like $220-$240 but then cheaper as we got closer to Adelaide and I think we must have done 5 fills.

After your last video, I was curious to see exactly how big Australia is. I regularly drive through France and always think how big France is. Having Googled the question, Australia is 14 times bigger than France which is mind blowing 😮
