Nakia's True Disabled Story!

I'm grateful that Nakia shared her story with me. Nakia told me how she had to advocate for herself to find the best mental health diagnosis and care plan. My heart broke for Nakia's struggles, but it also soared when Nakia began talking about her support system and her recent win: dancing as head lady at the Odenong Powwow in Amherst, Massachusetts.
